LOL I see that Dereks name is on the letter ( we spoke about it the other day) However I have not recieved this letter David. Our keepers liason secritary informed us of the spot checks
-
EXACTLY
-
no but if spouces give away key locations then bye bye guns
-
yup, just YOU
-
ok and tell them their LEGAL RIGHT
-
It does not. but it does say 3) The spot checks go against Home Office guidance, which states that home visits should be arranged by prior appointment at a mutually convenient time.

TOPDOWN, This Post was to warn people in Gwynedd about spot checks, just to prompt them that if they are out shooting on Sunday night late, to lock up their guns rather than waiting till morning to clean them before putting them away etc! as all you seem to want to do is winge and complain (i have better things to do) I will now ignor your posts on this thread ( and I suggest as you live no-where near Gwynedd you should also) and go and do something else.

The police have no right to do spot checks on licence holders. BASC are actually advising you refuse entry! if they want to waste police time by doing spot checks, then they can waste a liitle more by having to come out again with a warrent! I do not whine about my local FLD!

We had to get consent for our part of the shoot which is SSSI, there is restrictions as to when we can shoot, no realeaseing/feed etc yet no ban on lead (even tho we have a voluntary one) but consent is neede to shoot on a SSSI. If the Authority involved think that they are a problem then they will allow you or seek someone to manage them.

Just to make you all aware that the North Wales police will be doing spot checks on gun cabinates in Gwynedd from Monday 3rd December. Just remember it is well within your right to refuse them access if they have no warrent!

The idea of camo (any camo) is that it breaks up your silluet (or however it's spelt) thus it makes you harder to be spotted. -

guys you should know this! I dare say its the FEO's fault for not saying this, but everybody who owns a FAC should know how to transfer rifles/mods and open up their slots again!
-
put your hide up a few days before you go so they get used to seeing it
-
No the Firearms department needs to open up the slot again. A 1 for 1 variation is needed, the good news is its free!
