  1. Yeah it's spot on. Make me an offer.
  2. I'm thinking about getting an air rifle for target an small vermin... What are the advantages of .22 over .177. Also can you give ne an idea of what to look out for in rifles, scopes, moderator, bi-pod etc too add to the accuracy an stealth. Not got alot to spend but any advice would be great. Cheers
  3. Cheers that answers one question... Anyone have a clue on the price.
  4. I have a nikko 5000 o/u 12g with 2 3/4 chamber, single trigger and ejector with 30" barrels. Fixed choke top=full bottom=3/4... Not sure if it's either trap or skeet set up (maybe someone can let me know)... I'm thinking of parting with this shotgun, for the age it's in great condition, wood is in very good nick with only minor (very minor) marks and the barrels are very good also with no rust an only minor fading just past the fore grip. Can someone please let me know of a good selling price as I don't want to be taken for a **** Pics bellow. cheers in advance.
  5. You'll get alot of good and bad press on escorts me... I love my escort... I had a biakal mp153 an it was ****. Kept jamming all the time, so I traded it in for the escort an haven't looked back it fires everything I've put in it without missing a beat, also comes with 3 year warranty which is great.
  6. How often do you have to get your shotguns re proofed... No. Years/carts etc?
  7. As above, mine nikko 5000 is similar, top barrle set at full an lower set to 3/4. The selective trigger gives u more options depending on the target at that time. Mine displays 'O' for over an 'U' for under :-).
  8. I was in the army cadets for 5yrs an got to a level to where I started to train an instruct of weapon safety, handling an marksmanship up to 5.56mm SA80 an then continued to the TA on other full bore weapons.
  9. I've heard if the steel shot is fired with a plaz wad it's fine in any gun as the steel doesn't come in contact with the barrel however if ya gun is fixed choke to 1/2 maybe 3/4 it will he ok'ish but but never on full coke as u might damage ya gun...I only heard this in passing. Can someone confirm this?
  10. I strip an clean my shotguns everytime I use them, even if I only fired 1 shot...
  11. As above within 7 days... Not sure about your police force but I just email mine. Rang up an checked before hand an they actually prefer it :-) an saves a few pennies :-).
  12. I handed mine in last week. Not worth a 5 year jail sentance for a cap gun.
  13. Short answer is yes.. But there are alot of varibles... Battery power is one of the big ones. Depending on the milliamp per hour. Dictates the length of battery.
  14. I started with 1/4 but then I bought a o/u with fixed chokes set too full an 3/4... Had better shooting with it so set my semi to 3/4 and hits everything I've pointed it at :-) (well nearlly everything, lol)
  15. Well guess I'm paying the police a visit.
  16. I think the trader is also breaking the law in the "Trades discription Act" as it states that the product must me as discribes, in working order an fit for purpose.
  17. I had one an in less than a month traded it back in an got a Escort 3.5" Magnum. I'm not new to semi auto gas operated weapons an played with the gas nut to light loads an It would get a stoppage all the time... Using 32g No.6 2.5" and 2 3/4" carts.... Cycled bigger shots no bother but did get one stoppage using 63g No.3 as it got jammed half in the mag tube. I was told this was also a better choice than an escort but from owning both (yes for short times) I wouldn't turn back now. My escort hasn't got a gas nut to play with so less setting it up. Ive fired fired 24g, 28g and 32g an works fine, however got two stoppages using 24g carts out of a box of 25. An works floorlessly with the other 2 types. I've fired around 250+ 32g No.6 2 3/4" an not missed a beat. The reason I haven't fired bigger carts is that the owners manual recommends not too untill you have fired 500+ carts of smaller weights before firing the bigger loads Also the escort is lighter than the mp135. Not used a webley so can't comment but I'd buy the escort over the mp153 any day. On a personel note I had the baikal checked by a gun smith who said nothing was wrong with the gun and was recommended to use nothing less than 3"-3.5" carts.
  18. Mine was 22 days from sending it off to my visit, an then 18 days till my ticket was on the floor. Heard stories on here that folk have taken a week from start to finish an up to 9 months... infact there's a huge thread all about waiting times, (http://forums.pigeonwatch.co.uk/forums/index.php?showtopic=66083) regards to questions, can't really comment on what you will be asked as from what's I've learnt in the short time I've had mine is every police force has different requirments. However mine asked me: any past experiance with shotgun/firearms? What i planned on using it for? What land I had aquired? An then wanted to inspect my cabinet, you don't need one on ya visit but saves time as no need for the feo to come back again to inspect it...
  19. Yeah u can own a 2+1 3.5" chamber just need FAC if u wanted more than 2 in the mag i.e. 5+1.... I had a second hand baikal mp153 which is 3.5" chamber. Worked ok at first but wouldn't cycle propperly anVhad lots of stoppages an ruined a few good shoots. After the gun smith said nothing wrong as long as I use only 3"-3.5" carts I desided to trade it in for an escort... Personally 3 of my mates have them an now I do. No gas parts too mess around with (yes is has gas parts just no heavy an low settings) it's just an squeeze an bang :-). Not failed me yet an I've fired around 300. Carts through with no problems.
