Just bought myself a lamp for going out in the evenings.Its a hand held lamp, made by "top tool" makers Draper, 1.5million candle power for the grand sum of 20 squids. It'll probably turn out to be s*%#=++~+)(&*** not very good. But at 20 squids.... well.... all the best

Just got back from crow blasting. Its 3:30 and the rain has just hit us and is now chucking it down.had a top day though. 17 crows and 9 pigeons for 32 carts.I'm well happy as it usually takes me 500,000 carts to get me eye in. all the best

H H i'm with you the fella should have been given a medal. There are certain states in the US that run a "club" where u pay a fee every year and for this fee you get a sticker to put in your house window that says that if you catch an intruder on your property you will shoot him. once dead u have to phone the cops and then phone the "club" who will pay for a lawyer and also give u a $500,000 reward for your sharp shooting. Bit like neigbourhood watch with a kick. all the best

The homeowner "thought" that the scum that had broken into his house had a machette when it turned out he "only" had a gemmy.The home owner also had a young familly asleep in the house Personally i think that stabbing the poor chap 12 times was a bit OTT when he could have stabbed him 1ce or 2ce and let the scum ####### have a slow death.After all we are led to believe that "an Englishman's home is HIS castle" all the best.

seriously I thought a HPR . Would be better for "walked up game" as the fields are teaming round us. If i have this right H- hunt doggy finds game P- point doggy points to game and waits for master,when master gets to doggy , sends doggy to flush game R- retrieve doggy collects dead and returns to master. all the best

Another reason for a GWP is that it does not shed hair.Malc i was planning to "run" the dog on fresh air and water;But seeing as i can't, the missus will be more than happy to give the dog her snap. :(

Finally deceided that i am now "adult" enough to not only look after myself, but also a dog.The missus has been going on for a couple of years about getting 1, and it has been agreed that i have the choice of dog!!!(i know what your thinking, but she did say i had the final word on this matter. 1st time ever but.....) So i've been looking at dogs over the last few days, and i was wondering if anybody had any thoughts on a H.P.R. . namely a German wirehaired pointer. I came to the GWP for a couple of reasons. 1 the missus liked the look of em. 2 with it been wirehaired it would not get as mucky as a long coated dog (i work on a farm ) 3. the missus said it was a good choice and she would let me have a GWP. all the best :( :( :(

How many of you self load? Is the saveing you make worth the effort??I.E what numbers of cart. do you have to shoot to be quids in ? all the best

Numbers are low at the moment . Been studying the sky's where i work over the last couple of weeks.The number of flyings rats does seem to be going up.i.e. 1's an 2's couple of weeks ago to 7-15's now .But hopefully with this wet weather the rape will start growing . all the best

Gents When shooting over some-bodys land please use fibre wads.Looking over a field today where i had been shooting a couple of days b4 i noticed some reminents of a plastic wad.Also bend your backs and pick up your emptys , this will turn shooting into an anorobic exercise . So you can tell this missus your going to loose that few pounds that she been carping on at you to loose. all the best too many Yorkshire puds!!!!
