  1. Hahaha a top man! I think I have heard about the right arm knock when going round a corner or a roundabout! I'm quite a big lad so I would struggle a bit! 6 foot with a 46" chest.
  2. That's settled my mind a bit! There is so much practicality about my pickup! Electric windows, central locking, a heater!! Lol 4 seats and a load area, but the defender just strikes me for some reason!
  3. I drive a twin cab ford ranger pickup with mud tyres on and I must say it's great, mates got one too, but in a weird way and I'm not sure why but I really want a defender? Thinking of a 90 van back style! But they are stupid money for what you get ! £3000 would get me an old C plate or something! I could get another ranger but with a lot more bits for that on! So what am I thinking? I will admit they do have something about them! Although I have never driven one! So who's been in the same position as me or who's taken the plunge?
  4. I think it's a bulk deal mate, the scope is a nikko stirling diamond 3-12x56, not sure what that would be like but defo not up to the quality of schmidt, Swarovski and zeiss, but you could always sell it on? They are selling them in sporting rifle at the moment, blooming bargain I reckon for that price.
  5. Your best bet is a howa, can get a full set up with a 10 shot mag. Bipod, scope. Picatinny rail, rings, moderator and hard gun case for £899! Blooming bargain!
  6. but repeatedly cycling the bolt dry does concern me Why does this concern you? Just keep bolting it open and shut while in your house or something
  7. Great programme. Had me cringing for a bit and I dont normally watch TV, just turned it on for a change. My mum showed me some clips from the programme on BBC Three about the people who genuinely believe in Aliens, did anyone see that? One of the blokes was arming himself with an Axe and a Samurai Sword, rationing food and he even wore a tin foil hat under a beanie to stop them "mind controlling"......now he needs some help. HAHAHA. Cracking viewing.
  8. Same here, whats the price? I could have this off you. PM Sent
  9. If this was on O2 I would of had this bad boy.
  10. 2 screws underneath, one behind the trigger guard, and the other infront of the magazine housing, take this off, there is a small metal grommett that will need to be put back in place with a dovetail fitment, you will figure it out when you take the rifle to bits.
  11. That sounds EPIC! Might just have to go there with the lads and see what all this is about!
  12. Im 24, coming up 25 and have done some stupid things in my life, but learnt valuable lessons. I drove my ex girlfriend home years ago when I had been out with my mates on the sauce, one of my mates had my car keys so I could not use my car, so a mate chucked me his keys, on the way back home driving like a plonker I rolled the car and took out a tree and a fence. Turns out no insurance. I was 18 and paid my mate back £3000 for the car out of my own money, I had to sell my pride and joy shotgun, a Lincoln Jubilee Prestige, nice gun for an 18 year old! I got a loan out to pay for the rest of the balance and paid that off over 2 years whilst finishing my carpentry apprenticeship. What a hard lesson that was. I have always worked, evern though I have hated the jobs sometimes I am always on time and do what is expected of me. I learnt the hard way and it has made me learn the value of money. Dont get me wrong, my parents would help me out, but they have sculpted me into what I am today. I would say I am well brought up, polite and well mannered. I paid fro half of my lessons, and got the other half as a combined Birthday and Christmas prestent. I paid for my own car and insurance. Always have done. The only way you can make your son learn is to think to yourself, what is the right/best thing to do, not only to make him learn, but also to be better off for the future?
  13. Nice fish that Matt, well done mate.
  14. I use the wood based cat litter. Or your old walnut shell/corn cob tumbling media.
  15. Go for it. I have not got the wood version, but I do have the Laminate/Stainless version in 6.5x55. I also have an older m595 and if I am honest I prefer the action of the m595 compared to a T3. But both great rifles and shoot very well.
  16. I think you will find (not directed at you) but this forum is actually one of the best with some very knowledgable people on here. There is a few people on here, not mentioning any names, that just dont help at all, they just hinder. Which is why if you look through this thread end up how it did, people willy waving and getting the best groups and all that. I have a very experienced reloaer and stalker as my mentor and he always questions my questions. I am shooting 5 bullets in a pound coin, and I am wanting to get better. He asked me why I wnated better groups, I then answer the question myself. His answer is, "youve done all this work investing your money, time and effort, shot 250 rounds makiing the perfect load, now go out and shoot the ****** instead of picking holes in how great you have done".
  17. Not wanting to promote other sites, as I think Pigeonwatch is great (my favourite forum out of all of them) however this is a good idea, maybe we should do a Pigeonwatch version, I wouldnt mind doing one if it was pinned? Mod's please get in touch if this is what you would agree with, I will happily do my own version. http://www.thestalkingdirectory.co.uk/showthread.php/15361-Overview-of-the-Reloading-Process-From-Spent-Case-to-Loaded-Round
  18. http://www.opticswarehouse.co.uk/proddetail.asp?prod=OPTICSWAREHOUSE_BUDGET_RELOADING_KIT Jamie, this is all you need, the scales are a bit pants, so get a new set if you can afford them, I use Lyman 500 scales and they are very good. You will also need a Hornady Lock n Load guage, unless you stick to factory length rounds for the moment. PM me if you need some help and I will give you my phone numebr and guide you through what to do. James.
  19. Gary, no offence meant mate, but if this is for a .22, is it really worth it? I have a Boyds Stock, probably the same one you have on my cz452 and I must say I have no play and it is dead accurate. Its a .22, not a heavy high powered recoiling rifle. I own a couple of centrefire rifles and have not bothered with bedding (although I am thinking about it on my .22-250) but I would not bother. Surely there must be another solution why the rifle is not sitting tight in the stock. Have you let the action in properly? What does the rifle group like? 2p groups I can get with Winchester subs at 60 yards shooting out of the window of my truck, even better off the bonnet of my truck on bags. If you can get the same mate I would not bother. Plenty good enough for vermin control. James.
