This is just a case of geting them deeks high enough to stall the birds previous to them sailing over the deeks , but if they got the wind behind em and they know where there going /feeding , not even a 12 gauge will stop em ,we have all had these days matey ! Also remember as well at this time of year they can be very picky where / when they feed cause everyone is harvesting

Not having a pop here but ... If your going to look on ebay you will defo come across a1 decoys based in bristol they have brilliant stuff and there delivery is lightning fast but beware of the flocked decoys as i think they have gone down hill ,good luck in your quest its a big market for this stuff out there !

Tottally agree here , it seems to be more and more the case where people are charging ridiculous amount for a days shoot , ebay £80 shooting days should be ashamed of themselves !

Save your money i go to the scrap yard and paid £5 for a rac 47amp battery it runs your magnet all day and on the indicator shows it needs no charge whatsoever ,why buy new ?

Hi guys thankyou to all of you for the warm welcome , hope you are all well and are having a good season on the business end of the gun, amazed how many local people there are on here ,trying to poss broaden the horizon on the shooting front , i got 300 acres of cover crop corn at mo and its so slack , went saturday for 3 hours and got 4 pigeons, now by seasonal standards that is terrible , but i will never be beaten , ive read so many other people say the same that it is slack for the time of year around this end ! Anyway is anybody in the same boat as me here , im thinking we of the local area should meet up and try and get some land , all pm,s and inspiration welcome , thanks for taking time to read and respond good to be back on the forum !

Hi and good evening to you all , finally just got my account active again after 3 years away and wanted to welcome myself back into the world of pw !

A very exciting time of year is upon us ,just a quick post to give you all a bit of inspiration,went down to one of the fields i got permission on and the corn is more or less grown still very green but in full stance,i had a bit of a wander round as you do to make the most of sunny days on a scouting mission for later days and seen pigeons are back in the area and dropping in on the edges of the fields to try there luck,so went back week later and got out the van only to find not 1 bit of activity and there was the farmer again he came over for a chat and i told him that the pigeons where here last week but not now = bit strange ,and then he said the penultimate words if you get set up i bet you can pull em in,now as 1 rule number one stands we all now you dont setup if the birds are not there,but to save face and keep him happy i thought to myself im going to get all my stuff out the van and take the long walk across the 100 acre field to see if i can bag out in the wood,setup on edge on the wood and had 16 shells down on the areas where the field was very patchy and nothing really growing there ,then 2 flappers in the 4 foot corn on poles,went to set the hide up and before you know it ,it was rustling around in the wood and the skies had turned grey and this was not cloud = pigeons,in a massive flock of activity they where diving down again onto the edge of the corn,about 20 yard away needless to say they had a 1 way ticket,was down field all in all for about 3 hours and bagged 12 ,not amazing by any means ,but also nice to make the most of the day, but just goes to show happy times are upon us,the birds are literally waiting in the wings ,all in all brilliant day bring on summer !

Hi again fellow bird blasters ,ive actually got this fenman profile which i should of mentioned in my last post,i was actualy thinking of selling it as it did not get used as much as i liked but,all this talk of selling it has inspired me to get out more with it,so off i went to my local shop to get it on the chrono,only to be told its shooting best part of 13ft/lbs with 16grain crow stoppers ,so ive left it with him to knock it down a touch,get it back week monday and then its time to go pigeon blasting with it,as opposed to the price of which they are selling for = i was having a waffle to the guy at the shop about it and he said they are very rare so he said your looking around 400 to 500 sheets depending on scope and general condition but even he advised me not to sell it,some people have written on the above post about geting a profile for £250 if you can get 1 for this the person who would be selling it would not know what there doing or they are just a general plant pot
