  1. Hi all Does anyone know of any shoots in fhe north Cheshire or west Derbyshire areas who are looking for beaters for the coming season? I'd be willing to help out over the summer with work parties and vermin control as well. Now my rugby career appears finally behind me, I've more free Saturdays for shooting! Novice
  2. Wonderful. I'd love to know what stories it could tell. Novice
  3. Hi is this the standard trigger and is it the complete unit or just the blade? Novice
  4. 2nd dibs on the accushot please. Novice
  5. Any update on the weekend and the numbers achieved please Ian? Novice
  6. I saw a field of barley that had been cut yesterday, just around the harrogate junction. Few other fields didn't look far off
  7. Pm sent. First dibs please Novice
  8. So do you guys attach the plastic inserts to the rotary itself then sit the decoys on? Will have to have another look at it! Novice
  9. I've just bought one of the feeding crow carousel type things from a1 decoding. I was wondering how others have gone about attaching the decoys to the rotary itself? No instructions and the inserts aren't a tight fit. I'd prefer not to glue them in as I'd like the option of putting pigeon decoys on if I wish Cheers Novice

    DEEKS

Hi there I'd like first dibs on these please. Could you please clarify your location a bit more? Cheers
  11. Forgot to mention that the issue occurs intermittently and whether there is only a single round chambered or whether there are others in the magazine. Cheers Novice
  12. Hi all u I was hoping for some input into an issue I have with a savage pump action that I bought as a bit of a project. It has issues with cycling, in that the forend will not always come back down the slider and it effectively 'locks up'. At a guess I'd say that one of the springs in the trigger mech needs replacing and its not allowing the forend to free up for reloading. However I'm happy to concede that my knowledge on these guns is limited and would be happy to receive suggestions. Cheers Novice
  13. Before I lash out on a brand new one, I was wondering whether anyone has a card for the colibri (used to be called the callmaster) digital caller, with sounds suitable for foxing? Just trying to save a few pennies! Novice
  14. The issue has recently been discussed elsewhere. Consensus seems to be that they are definately pushing eastwards into the Hawick area and there is a good chance that some of the real pioneers have reached Keilder. Whether they will last long enough in there, once the rangers get onto them, is another matter entirely. They are an enigmatic species, but from a forestry point of view, no doubt it is preferable to nip them in the bud, rather than have them get established. Novice
  15. I've not long been the proud owner of a 687, which when I mount it comes up nicely with good cheek weld and my eye looking straight down the rib. I've compared it to the aya No4 I've shot inconsistently with for the last 8 or 9 years. The comb on the aya is much lower and more often than not my head is just about off the stock when I properly mount the gun into my shoulder. My question is, how much effort would be needed to significantly alter the height of the comb on the aya? Would it be possible to bend the stock, as you would do with cast, or would it require an unsightly extension to sit on top of the existing comb? Cheers Novice
  16. Thanks for the response. To be honest, I'm not moaning about the lack of a full choke and will probably get more use out of a more open one! Novice
  17. So it looks like there are a few around then! On a slightly different topic, it came with 5 chokes (mobil?), true cylinder, skeet, 1/4, 1/2 and 3/4. Is this standard as on my old lanber the 5 supplied chokes included improved cylinder and full? Novice
  18. Whoops, didn't scroll down to this topic before I entered mine! Do they do a matte finish on their semi autos as well? Novice
  19. I'm now the very proud owner of a 687 silver pigeon with 29 1/2" barrels that have a matte finish, rather than the traditional blued finish. I've never seen anything of this type before and was wondering whether they were a special order or limited run? From the serial number I understand the gun was manufactured in 2001, although you wouldn't know it as it is an absolute minter! Cheers Novice
  20. How difficult is it to alter a right hand stock to a left hand cast and what is the likelihood of the stock eventually moving back to its original position? Also, what would the likely cost be to have this done by a reputable smith? Cheers Novice
