  1. Updated again as being for sale, early this morning! I too find it hard to understand why the moderators appear to be shielding this shop given the published criticism of others.
  2. I don't think the OP knows if it's fixed choke or not. If it multi-choked with standard Lanber chokes there will be 4 small square cut-outs visible looking into the end of the barrel. These are to accept the choke key. No cut-outs - more likely fixed choke or possibly Teague after market chokes. Of course, ensure the gun is unloaded before you do this! Whilst the Lanber is a good gun in its' price range it is not financially viable to convert to multi-choke from fixed choke. Good luck with your shooting and don't be over concerned with chokes.
  3. Updated again today - still for sale! How do they stay in business?
  4. Still on the website. Updated this afternoon as for sale. Definitely needs reporting.

    Clay trap

May have one that could suit. Whereabouts are you?
  6. Glad you got it sorted. I do think that the trade would improve rapidly if we, the customers, were more forceful in asking politely for our legal entitlement - money back or a replacement (customer's choice) when a gun is faulty so soon after purchase.
  7. Having downloaded the manual, it says strip, clean and dry. The only lube mentioned is oil the trigger. Thanks again for all the response. Much appreciated.
  8. I have had a similar lack of response when trying to contact them via their website. After three attempts and automated replies that they had received the message I gave up. My local gunsmith has also commented on their lack of knowledge when phoning about parts. With reported bad service elsewhere this seems unfortunately typical of the industry. Shame because the guns are getting good press. Good luck.
  9. Thanks for all your replies, much appreciated.
  10. Sold pending payment Thanks for all your interest
  11. If you go to Fennes on a Saturday I believe Jim Spalding is in his workshop there. He is an excellent stocker. If you're inexperienced make sure your gun mount is consistent before thinking of alterations.
  12. Used black synthetic stock and forend in original Remington box. Box says suitable for all 12gauge 1100 & 11-87 models. Complete with buttpad and sling swivel.Good condition with light scuff marks only. £50 Thanks for looking
  13. I'll be interested to see if you get a reply from Anglo Italian. I have contacted them three times via website regarding Fabarm parts and only ever received automated acknowledgements. My local gunsmith has also expressed concern about their service knowledge.
  14. Look on fleabay for Promatics. If you're tempted by GKD prices I suggest you read some of posts on this site and elsewhere regarding their quality and customer service.
  15. Were the two barrels fired one immediately after each other? If so, could it be the effect of recoil lifting the gun slightly. Just a thought.
  16. One genuine Browning stainless, Cylinder. One Open Season, Imp. Cyl. £30 pair, posted.
  17. My 8 year old is still permanently hyper - hence he doesn't live indoors.
  18. I agree with Gordon R's suggestion to buy secondhand but how many of his listed brands are obtainable for the £700 that you can buy a new Bettinsoli for?
  19. Interesting comments about clay shooting "organisations". The only one I know of is CPSA and maybe they want to distance themselves from live quarry shooting in the hope that clay shooting continues to be acceptable regardless of any restrictions elsewhere. Just a thought.
  20. I'm interested to know what new gun you would buy for that money.
  21. Hi, This my gun. Only selling as I tend to use my other gun for everything now. Cleaned after every outing, it's a great example of a classic. Please contact me if you require further information. Thanks, Dave
  22. Spent yesterday with "Clayman" at Dartford SG. An excellent day's tuition from a man with so much knowledge and the ability to pass it on.I was left with so much to think about and put into practice. Thanks again, Jerry.
  23. I have a manual 3/4 cocking trap. No problems in the time I have had it. Only light use by 2 or 3 of us which I guess is what it was intended for. For the low price I never really considered the customer service aspect. Certainly a lot more comfortable to cock than our Bowman. Our club auto GDK, however, has given up in rapid time whilst the old Acorns plod on.
