  1. Hiya boys, Ebay keep on taking these off, I even tried selling them as "pattern adjusters" Sale includes the rare brown one, which I believe an American sporting choke and is 3/8ths. these all went into my DT10, and I know also fit ASE/Gold cup. They are the Extended ones, where about an inch sticks out, and all come with their transport tube. The stars/size on each choke are as follows White * Black ** Yellow **** Blue **** Brown PB-LM-SP Red Skeet I want about £200 for all six, but give me an offer if you keen on them, whatever you think they worth, they about £50-£60 each in the dealers. I have tried uploading a photo, but can't because of size, if you want send me a PM and I will email you a photo.
  2. thanks boys, I will split the sale up now, or wait anyway and see near the end

  10. I have had great success with the hypa flaps from ukshootwarehouse, use their link at the top, now that you a member you will get a discount.................one thing though is they work best with a speed timer........... PS welcome to the site
  11. We used em again on saturday, the birds came into them so much so that if you miss with your first barrells, the birds would simply turn around and reapproach, that happened several times. My mates laughed at how they made the pigeons look stupid. The field was flooded, all that you could see was the top of the standing wheat, my sillo socks I hade to put on extensions cause of the water, we should of been shooting ducks. But they still pulled the birds in. Does anyone here want lessons how to use em.........I will come out on a weekend and show you.
  12. Is what you got to do with the spar for the sock's, is put it in at a slight angle through the plastic (only if the plastics corrigations are running vertically, or parallel to the shaft). As for the Hypa flaps, did you have the spar running through propley, or try changing it for the brown spar. Also adjust your speed on the whirly. I admit I battled with mine also, but I persisted for an hour, and got em running perfectly. Best bet is just to set em up in the garden before you use em for the first time. Don't give up with em, I sold all my other deeks after I tried the socks. I laughed when I first saw em and even said yeah I agree they are Silly socks. I put dead birds in cradles out in a differant pattern about 250 yds down from where I had the sock's, and was the last time I called em silly, cause not one pigeon pullled in to the cradles. If you don't want em I will take em at a second hand price. ...........

Hiya bud.............try Sywell, really friendly, on the A43 towards N'pton, open on Sat, Sun and thursdays in summer. They got ABT, DTL, skeet, and sporting.
  15. Wish we could swop..........all I got is rape (that is already quite high ) and then wheat when it's cut in only another 9 month's time......
  16. Have you tried pulling them apart between your fingers? The only way you can damage em is with somthing sharp. Also think of how you can compact them in your bag. No more need for a massive bag, 10 socks packed takes up as much space and weighs as much as one shell. You would've thought that dead birds in cradles made the best decoys, well if you check my previous post's, you will see that the sock's out did em, as I compared them with two differant layouts. Bud, try slowing it down slightly in the windier conditions, worked for me. I actually thought they look a lot more real in the wind, cause they flap for the 180 degrees into the wind, the other 180 they glide with the wind, makes it look like they gonna land.

  18. corrigated platic board flock coating and a paper/plastic bag the type of thing you get things packed in i.e. the bag the remote comes in when you buy a television the beak is yellow paint and the white neck thing is a bit of plastic wrapped around the corrigated platic they do look really wierd and cheap and nasty, but if you look at a plastic shell decoys they proberly on cost a few pence to make so dont be put off by looks alone its what they do thats counts!! if they work there worth every penny if they dont somone is making a fortune, advertising sells nothing else! Take the material between two fingers, and pull it apart as hard as you can, wont break Use a speed controller, slow it down a bit, or extend the arms on your whirly, so that the speed on both wings is more or less the same (inner wing will always be slower), again try and slow it down to 35 to 45 rpm
  19. Dried/cured.........biltong......
  20. Did you see the hypa flaps in action........one of those things you need to see to believe
  21. go over and read it on the dank side
  22. Mark, I have just read your thread over on the dank side.......class mate
  23. Cheers bud, next time I'm down oxford way will definatly catch up. Rgds
  24. I had good results with em on friday, even set up a pattern of cradles about 250 yds down from where I was, and the birds didn't even look at em, came straight in to the socks (well tried to), and I had the hypa's on the rotary
  25. Mine I got from the Beasleys (UK shootwarehouse), and set it at about 50 rpm (it was quite windy), and it lasted from 9 till 3:30, no problems with it what so ever.
