  1. Poss down to the thought it might not cope with the recoil,as to wether it will or won't,can't help i'm afraid.
  2. Ironic isn't it that California has incredibly restrictive gun laws - sanctioned by a Governor - who gained fame and fortune by portraying violent gun-toting charachters...... One of the guys from the club works for an American company and often has to pop over there, and it tee's him off no end that there based in California and can't get the real shooting experience he'd like.
  3. I think California is one of the few states with a real downer on guns.
  4. We are talking about renting guns to use on the dons own range, not to wander off and rob some drug store. There are plenty of gun shops over there that do this and it's damn good fun.
  5. We use D+J carts when the have our informal clay shoots. There seems to a problem with misfires but these in our case anyway seem to be mostly related to pumps and semi auto's.Can't really say how good they are most of us ain't that good at hitting very much.
  6. Has anyone ordered stuff from Natchez,e-mailed them about a set of peep sights still waiting to here back
  7. Wish i could be of more help, just bought a yeoman o/u with multi chokes.Only had a quick go at few clays with it so far, didn't hit many but thats down to me.
  8. I'm afraid Pointers right - $40 per 250 on average and they'll deliver to your front door IIRC there was a story of someone in America who was found to have a million rounds of ammo at his house.
  9. I chuck it in the bin as my non reloadable carts would be only five or six hundred a year, and i ain't saving them up til i can get a decent amount to sell for scrap. Now it the council had abin for brass yeah no probs,i would put it in when i recycle the papers and glass. It's not that i won't is more i can't really.
  10. Don't know about recycling, all my non reloadable brass goes straight into the normal bin.
  11. Good point ,Gows in dundee nice shop maybe not so cheap. I'm member of the Arbroath full bore gun club shooting various rifles the .22 is a play thing maybe use it for a second shoot of our comps.
  12. Maybe has trouble with his memory ,as having seen the shop he's clearly forgotten what year he was supposed to clean the place.
  13. I've got a erma .22 semi auto coming, it's a copy of the american m1 carbine,it's a little plaything.
  14. Small world, all you fifers seem to know each other Hoping to be popping up to Arbroath to pick up another rifle tomorrow.
  15. Was in last friday first time in there.Had a look in cos humperdingle on here mentioned this very gun i was looking for a cheap banger to get started.I would say you got it cheap cos humperdingle said he wanted £60 for it when he was in.Funny he never mentioned this gun when i was in(maybe keeps the bargins for the fifers).Anyway got a pretty decent aya o/u m/c used it today for the first time, need more practise.
  16. Was this a shop in kirkcaldy by any chance.
  17. Welcome to pigeonwatch,humperdingle.
  18. Been trolling around some of the local gunshops looking for a cheap 12 bore banger to get me started. Not much so far, however there was a Baikal the one with the two sets of barrels(had one of these years ago),metalwork looked okay as did the both fore ends. But the butt had been replaced with something that didn't look anything like the fore ends(colour or chequering),it had been fitted with one of those absorball(sp?) type of recoil pads, this might explain why the butt has been changed. They're looking for £150 for it.Good, bad or just forget it.
  19. Just a shade over five weeks since handing in my applications for FAC and SGC,guess what's popped through my door .Gets even better they gave me the ammo to buy and hold after telling me i asked for too much on an initial application.Anyway time to spend some cash.
  20. Not far from you Jim,just down the road in Dundee. Graeme.
  21. The only S+B carts i can remember were about twenty years ago, they were of paper construction possiably even varnished or similar. Now baikal's used to get them in flat packs of ten as well from budget guns and tackle if i remember right.
  22. These are the cartridges that my club use, can't comment on the state of the barrels after use as i'm still using another members gun as i'm still waiting for my cert to come through.Back to the problem i haven't heard anyone complain about it.
