  1. They should be gelded with a rusty hacksaw blade.
  2. Good to hear your continued success, I have yet to hear anyone not raving about the Night Master 800 IR units I enquired whether the DFA75 software upgrade could be retrospective the answer was no and they have removed the USB port from their current range of products. I have to say this is a bad move they can't expect purchasers to sell their older unit and buy a newer version every few months / years, far better for the company to support customers and build upon their loyalty base. Even an option to return a unit for upgrade would be better than nothing but these days an internet download would not be beyond most owners. What's the body panel compound you use Eddie ?
  3. Like a good number of people I am watching with interest every post which appears relating to the DFA75 and I would like to thank the two Eddies for their info. I am hoping to fit a DFA75 unit onto a S&B 8x56 but I think this may not be possible so although I will try this it looks like a new scope is going to be needed. I have see most owners comments regarding the inboard IR and I am going to purchase a Night Master 800 IR which seems to be the way to going, apparently Night Master are looking at offering a mount which repalces the inboard IR though increasing the weight on the DFA with a double battery 800 IR may not be a good decision. A second release of DFA's is due on the 1st May and these will have a software update related to the menu amongst other things, they have also resolved the tight mounting bracket issue.
  4. I've not had my Pro hunter jacket very long but I have had a couple of pairs of Pro Hunter trousers a while and they are excellent, very warm and up to now not snagged on brambles and they have never leaked. Strangely the trouser sizing is about right but as I said the jacket sizing is very generous by about two sizes, in theory I should need a Eu54 I actually needed an Eu50 and I'm a 42" chest measured over a jumper.
  5. Another vote for Harkila Pro Hunter but watch the sizing they are very generous !!
  6. ....Some of us know LG but I'm saying 'nowt !!
  7. As has already been said every breed of dog has it within them to be sheep worriers, obviously the build of some dogs means they probably would struggle to do much damage however with others the reverse is true. My father-in-law has dealt with dogs who had inflicted horrendous wounds to sheep yet only hours later had in a Jekyll & Hyde fashion reverted back to the obedient "butter wouldn't melt" household pet. Some doting dog owners simply do not want to believe their pampered pooch is a sheep killer however this shouldn't make any difference.
  8. It you have bought the box Tam all is not lost, you will need to buy ANOTHER bargain box try to stay under £100 this time though, then poke a hole in the middle of each box, now here's the clever part put a length of string through each hole and Hey Presto with an accomplice's ear fully "boxed" and the string pulled tight you can actually talk through your iPhone4S (the "S" stands for "string") and since the boxes and string can be taken and used anywhere they truly are mobile phones - SORTED !! I would re-sell on Ebay before any upgrades - you don't want to lose too much money on you purchase.
  9. Alex as others have said it is straightforward and you will manage OK. There is one thing to watch though right at the very end when your figures have gone into the software it looks like your VAT has been submitted - it hasn't - you need to confirm the return. When this happens the system will tell you the date of the next return, if it shows the current quarter you haven't completed properly. That won't sound like a load of ****** when you are actually doing it !! I hope that helps you.
  10. ....Richard the Third, Pony 'n Trap, Barry White, Brad Pitt. I saw the end of the program, I didn't realise that at it's deepest 605ft (?) Loch Lomond is as deep as the North Sea !!
  11. I would recommend Canon compacts, the Ixus and Powershot ranges. They use CCD sensors rather than CMOS for better image quality and their software is pretty straightforward if you aren't really into photography. The Ixus is a very compact version, the 220HS a good mid range camera in stainless steel. The Powershot D10 is waterproof and shockproof and with a 12.1MP almost made for the use you are likely to put it to. If the two quoted are out of your price bracket there are others available in Canon's range of a lower spec which may fit the bill.
  12. Many insurance policies have an initial extra discount for your first year, after which most companies will try to get a follow on using the card you paid with. It is well worth running your details through a comaprison website such as "Confused" or "Compare the Market" you will be surprised the difference it can make especially on extras such as no claims protection. If you experiment on your job description you can see what difference it is making to the premium by asking the system to recalculate, obviously sooner or later you will hit upon an acceptable job title. I reduced me and my wife's car insurance by about £250 but the best saving I made was on house insurance down from over £2,000 to £760 and payable interest free over the year. The previous policy was alway due 28th December so do I feel smugly chuffed at this time of year ? Just a lot !!
  13. Thanks rimfire I have two pairs of Pro Hunter trousers which are excellent and the jacket the the same - superb.
  14. If you use "Proshow Gold" or "Proshow Producer" you can limit copying, the number of times it can be viewed or give it an expiry date.
  15. Euro size 54 UK size 43" chest Harkila Pro Hunter jacket, this is the newer version with brown lining as opposed to the older silver lining. A Harkila body warmer can be zipped into the jacket for extra warmth (not included). Harkila Pro Hunter jacket in as new condition without tags, the reason for the sale - it's too big for me. This is a great opportunity to obtain a top of the range hunting jacket at a much reduced price of £265 including postage. The exact same jacket in York Guns is currently £399. Please PM if you are interested, the jacket is also advertised on another shooting website so it's first come first served.
  16. Quote: Scaffy who are we shooting for Hunters World or Pigeon Watch ? [Hawkeye] Scaffy shoot for Hunter World, Hawkeye - do Hunter World a favour, ALWAYS shoot for Pigeon Watch !! photopro (Admin Hunter World)
  17. Cranfield and I do not see eye to eye on a lot of things but I would never say that about him. Sometimes boundaries get "blurred" but I think that is always going to happen. On a *********** you do need to be careful - the site can be ******** without notice. We take a more liberal approach on ****************** and it does seem to *****. Dozey editing just looks - well - dozey, I think you'll agree. There are other hunting sites with a more realistic view and who aren't so insecure. photopro -
  18. Thankfully the law seems to exercise a little common sense regarding the crop protection issue. Pigeons frequent arable farms usually for one reason - food. Therefore the opportunity to shoot them can be taken whenever it presents itself. It has to work in this way, to take the element of proof to it's limit, you would have to wait until an identified pigeon in a group began feeding on a crop and then shot that particular pigeon. If another had just landed or was only flying over you would not be able to take a shot until feeding had started. You don't need a definitive element of proof - the frozen turkey up the jumper at the supermarket. Any woodie present on any arable farm is at some time going to attempt to feed on a sown crop, therefore they are legitamate legal targets. photopro
  19. For Sale: TRUGLO Starbrite Deluxe fibre optic shotgun bead. Still brand spanking new in original packaging. It was sent in error. I ordered Benelli fit and I was sent a Mossberg. So anyone out there got a Mossberg? This model screws in and replaces the maker's sight bead, it is a machined metal housing and is extra bright. It may be possible to fit it to another make with a bit of fiddling. See: http://www.gunaccessories.com/TruGlo/StarbriteBeads.asp If you are interested £10 including postage. photopro
  20. By the same token - all that thread and not one reply from a person representing the company in question (sponsor or not). There are often two sides to every story it is going to look a bit odd not hearing the second since it was allowed to get to the forum. photopro
  21. photopro, why insult nttf ? hes forgotten more than you will ever know So you are comparing someone you know , with someone you've never seen, spoken to or know anything about ?? I assume you've met NTTF 'cos if you haven't the statement is even dafter !! It is easy for us to say what should or should not have happened when it wasn't us in Dr Spin's position - maybe some of us would have reacted differently. However this could and should have been resolved before it reached this forum. photopro
  22. He is a novice pigeon shooter, he could have asked 100 questions and still not asked the correct ones. Without the 20:20 hindsight smart ***** like “new to the flock†possess how was he supposed to know?? The company concerned should have taken a little more care / interest in him – if only because he is a future repeat business customer. OK the mobile phone issue was a lapse of common sense but no excuse to abandon him. A gesture of good will (no pun intended) would be in order, negative publicity will affect more than just this customer. photopro
  23. Sorry to see you are having server problems, hopefully you will resolve them soon. Members of Hunter World have been asking about your site and no doubt the increase in "guests" is down to the same problem. However in an act of friendship there is now a link posted which gives people access to Pigeon Watch, so you should see some increase in viewing members. http://z11.invisionfree.com/hunter_world/i...p?showtopic=609 Regards, photopro, Neil, Baz, Jamie & the rest of the guys at HW !!
