  1. Thanks all for the advise, the new part was fitted today, along with the brush and no more ping to be heard The valve was 13mm (12.9mm with the vernier gauge) and sealed up nicely
  2. I know I mentioned it😂 In the context of some silicone grease has it added to it when I searched on Google (such as maplins) I'll try a dive shop
  3. the PTFE was mentioned when i googled silicone grease as some have it added, i'll see what my local auto place has in the morning i have silicone oil (treadmill lube) is that any good
  4. applied a little bit of heat and clamping the spanner, with some rubber anti-slip matting to gain a bit more of a grip, i just managed too get a bit of movement, which eventually freed the valve No obvious signs of thread lock, but the seal did look quite dry and there was a very fine burr of brass near one of the thread grooves Anyway, when the new one arrives, i need some silicone grease, anything to watchout for, things to avoid like it including PTFE etc when buying?
  5. Hyflier, absolutely no air left it in whatsoever, used the de pressuring adapter it came with, and the indicator said '0' and the valve could be pressed and no air came out at all
  6. i did think about adding heat, but was worried about the seal inside But just spoken to my dealer, they don't have spares, John Kibbs don't so will have to have a chat with chambers
  7. Mines is jammed tight, not an bit of movement at all, slipped and took a chuck of thread out, not going to risk putting back together But still no movement even whacking it to see if it get the spanner to move
  8. Now I've damaged the thread Looks like the cheap brush mods going to cost £40+ for a new one https://www.gunspares.co.uk/shopdisplayproducts.asp?page=2&id=24960&Search= They are saying I need to send the old one back to them due to a VRC act
  9. Got the bottle brush, got the air tube off can I heck get the brass end off the air tube 😡
  10. might have too call in to Tesco and buy a baby bottle brush and have a look at doing this

    the storm

It was throwing it down in Leeds and very loud thunder and very bright lightening flashes, enough to wake me up and watch
  12. I looked at a Yildiz at the weekend whilst at Leyburn, the gun seemed well made, for a cheaper side of the scale gun, but it felt so light compared to my beretta. The wood was ok, then he showed me a .410 (iirc) and the wood looked fantastic,
  13. Thanks that's something to think about, hoping to look at one in each gauge this weekend
  14. I'm having the same thoughts about a Yildiz SPMz Junior for my 9 year old son to start shooting with I'm thinking 20bore, as the .410 can be a bit disheartening if they keep missing clays due to the lack of shot Not heard much on the 28bore, though i believe its somewhere in between .410 & 20b
  15. I agree, just fancied finding out how each performed
  16. i recently bought a couple of different tins of pellets to try, they seem quite accurate but thought a non scientific test of penetrating power would be good So i set up my old Argos Catalogue and shot from 25ft away, powered up the AT44-10 and shot the four pellets then checked to see how many pages it took to stop the pellet from piercing the paper or creasing the paper Air Arms Field Diablo 239 pages Bisley Practice 211 page JSB Exact Jumbo 163 Pages Bisley Magnum 325Pages I have to say i was surprised how the flat headed Bisley Practice did and how bad the JSB Exact Jumbo faired All Four pellets seemed to deform the same
  17. just was reading one yesterday, a young lad, who wanted to get in to shooting at the age of 17, has a cupboard and a safe in it already and has read up on the rules but wanted a few pointers, to allow him to get his shotgun to go "target shooting" with and maybe some clay pigeons Although he has no experience of shooting a shotgun he says he preferred a pump action or a semi as he wouldn't need to re aim them like he would with a SxS or OU I gave up reading it when they started squabbling over advice he was given to join a clay shooting club
  18. if you want to try some my pup, (cocker spaniel) was brought up on it He ate the bag he came with, then as soon as i bought a big bag, he decided he wasn't eating it, so i have a bit left over, which we are slowly getting through I'm not too far away from you and could bag up a few meals to allow you to try it before buying some
  19. he goes by the name taztastic12, if that makes searching easier
  20. a friend of mine took this picture https://www.flickr.com/photos/77507893@N04/7970749780/ is that something like you are needing? you could contact him via flickr and ask if you could use it if it is?
  21. sister in law had two of them the last been the R-Design, no problems at all with either and the volvo dealers were excellent when servicing and warranty work She would have bought another but went Audi TT instead
  22. Personally I think it's one of the all time great films, part of the it happened and a film made about it films, unfortunately as with all films based on true events, there's going to be a bit of a artistic licence on characters and goings on

    iphone questions

iPhone 5s has the finger print unlocking button, camera stabilisation and some other stuff Apple still has them on the website to compare the difference, I went 5s as I didn't want gimmicky colour scheme
  24. I'm very happy with my .22 AT 44, on a day when I'm shooting good it's pellet on pellet or thereabouts, only shooting targets I was in the same position as you, first pcp not wanting to spend loads, at it ticked every box I wanted too, a daystate will quieter, but you would expect so at the cost of them
  25. Look on www.Disco4.co.uk a very friendly bunch of disco4 owners and forum will tell you how it is and not what a mates mate heard in the pub about them
