  8. lol, what better to be spending my afternoon on sunday, got a good flight line and if the pigeons arn't flying then theres a crow flightline right through that field aswell

  13. whats the best / most practical and economical way? Bigger tyres, suspension lift? suggestions please. cheers paul.
  14. o/u, semi auto, sxs the world is your oyster! Like many will say one that fits you and you shoot well with. For that budget you could get a very decent second hand beretta silver pigeon or anything you fancy, good luck. N.b One gun always leads to many lol. Paul.
  15. Cheers dave, i had a feeling 24 might be too little, im going to the shop tomorrow and they have a clay trap out back will just have to purchase a few different boxes and try them all! Thanks for the replies.
  16. As above could anyone recommend a suitable clay cart for my franchi semi. i've only ever used eley first 28g & clear pigeon 30g, not sure if my gun will shoot 24g? has an adjustable piston for heavy & light though? Paul.
  17. I think thats disrespectful, even though i have a semi auto and you know how far they can fling the empties i always try and keep a spare pocket for the empties i can find. I dont think the land owner would be too pleased, i certainly would'nt! Always clean up after myself, with regards to the dead birds, pigeons i would try to eat if not bag and dustbin same with the crows etc. (although not eat them) Paul
  18. hi i have a franchi raptor which is overall length 47.5 inches, barrell length is 27 1/8 inches and stock is 36 1/8 inches. nb. it does have a sling mount on the end of the nut which screws on to the forend. Paul
  19. I have a suzuki vitara jx4u, had it about 2 weeks now, its not perfect bit of rust here and there but i did take it greenlaning and its does seem very capable! It's not the best on fuel but i have been doing just short journeys really but i like it, it may look girly but it does exactly what i want it to do.
  20. Hi mate i have a franchi raptor aswell. I use 30g / shotsize 6 gamebore clear pigeons for clays and vermin shooting, i did put a few boxes of eley olympic 28 gram 7.5s through it and they were good aswell. Just keep the action nice and clean with light smearing of gun oil, i've not had a jam yet! So easy to strip down and looks the mutts nuts! Paul.
  21. Today i just bought my first 4x4! Well its a dinky little thing lol but it's what i can afford at my age (insurance is still £1700) Like the topic title says its's a 1999 T reg suzuki vitara jx, 74000 on the clock, over all vgc, few bits here and there, rear bumper, holes in the front wing. I'm going to give it the once over to be on the safe side, cambelt, filters, transmission oils. Just wondering where people get their spares from? Filters etc are easy but repair panels, bumpers, exhaust etc? I await your replies Paul.
  22. I recently bought a franchi raptor from mallard barn and i must say i was very pleased with the service, had the usual free box of clear pigeon chucked in to sweeten the deal, i also purchased my .410 bolt action from taylors of sudbury, good service but like you said quite expensive and not much choice in the shotgun department but if your looking for an air rifle they have quite a few in the 'gunroom'. I definately need to have a look at fennes as i will be looking for a o/u soon and have read a lot of good reviews. Paul.
  23. You can turn the bolt right and left. i'll take it back this morning, i want them to show me how to break it down fully any way so wont be a wasted journey! Paul.
