  1. Night ShootingNight is defined as between one hour after sunset until one hour before sunrise (except Jersey – see below). England, Wales and ScotlandThe shooting of game at night is not permitted. Ground game (rabbit and hare - which is subject to a close season in Scotland) may be shot at night by an occupier of land or one other person authorised by the occupier, with the permission of the holder of the shooting rights under Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 Schedule 7, unless the occupier has the exclusive rights.
  2. Hares are classed as ground game and can be shot at night but not on a Sunday in some county's.
  3. Absolutely love mine fella, great all round gun, a bit pricey but worth it
  4. Haha, it was a great shot my mallard, it was wearing an oxygen mask when it came down
  5. If it were me for 1600 id haggle and get the best price on either a Miroku MK70, Beretta Silver Pigeon or Browning 325, try all 3 and see what fits best, all quility guns that you can keep a lifetime, you should get them for 1200 quid, then with the other 400 quid buy a second hand a300 or put another 100 quid in and look for a second hand a391 Urika.
  6. Went over to Tex's late afternoon looking for pigeons but nothing about anywhere in any numbers, luckily took the HMR as well so had a scout about for an hour, managed to bag 7 rabbits and a hare and a bonus crow that thought he was safe at distance , went back for Tex's dog and had the last hour on the river and managed a mallard each with 2 cracking retrieves for the young bitch, one on the river and one in thick nettles, had a great afternoon, Hare and dumplings in the slow cooker tomorrow. Cheers Tex
  7. Dont worry about it, no matter what mod you put on you wont notice the differance, cant believe some people spend 150 quid on a mod that is at most 2db reduction over a 35 quid SAK., fine if youve got money to burn.
  8. i find the flapper works best in harvest as it mimics pigeons flapping about in the stubbles, the magnet works best on standing crops for me but what works one day may not the next, you wont go wrong with AA Decoys for the turbo flapper, as for the magnet i made my own so cant comment.
  9. Interflon, fin super + teflon spray, made for the job, only need a small amount.
  10. its a 25 birder and can sometimes be very busy and you can spend a lifetime waiting to shoot but that said its cheap, also try Loversall, Hooten Pagnell and Hemsworth all worth a look.

  17. when you say your thinking of using iscope do you mean the app or the attachment ? , if you look at my profile ive got 2 vids on that i did using iscope app and a homemade adapter, the iscope app is fantastic for 69 pence but when you use it to zoom it can make the picture grainy, your better off using the scope to zoom instead and save 100 quid and make your own adapter.
  18. Went over to see Tex after tea to pass an hour bunny bashing, cant believe how muggy it was and not many rabbits about either, after taking the Leupold off because of not enough mag for 100 yard shooting ive opted for a scope that came on a air rifle i bought some time ago, Bushnell banner 6 x 18 x 56, pretty much spot on for the HMR, missed a few but thats just me going for head shots all the time, need to start and go for the heart shot when there not for the pot, ended with 8 all the same so not bad as only looked at 2 fields. cheers Tex
  19. Get the 2 ply, lighter and easier to see through, just make sure youve got a good background behind you to block the light.
