  1. believe me you'll love it, but shop around as Beretta have recently put their prices up, i think the RRP for the Xtreme is now 2200 quid in max 4 camo i payed 1550 from Swillington shooting supplies 7 months ago, just shop about but be prepared to pay about 1700.
  2. I have one and love it, far better quility than a SX3, mines never missed a beat with any shells up to 66gram, the balance is great, the action is smooth as butter and ultra fast, ive only cleaned mine 3 times and its never jammed, cannot fault it in any way apart from the price , but as with everything in life you get what you pay for. Looked at the Maxus and it felt cheap and plastic, looked at the SX3 but didnt feel any better, when i picked the Beretta up it i was hooked, if felt quility and came up lovely, i use mine mainly for pigeon and duck shooting and with the kick off system its like firing an air rifle, the only other that interested me was the Benneli SBE but the action is inertia based, but did feel nicely balanced, if you want one gun to do everything that will last a lifetime its a no brainer fella, get your hands in yer pocket, you wont regret it, P.S they have been out a while now and how many second hand ones do you see tells a story
  3. This has been done to death on here fella, just do a search, but all HMR ammo is made in the same factory by CCI apart from the winchester stuff so if you use Hornady, Remington or CCI theres not gunna be a whole lot of differance, the 20 grain has been said to be more accurate for some but not being ballistic tipped can riccochet, never tried them, i just use 17g Hornady's all the time and they work fine for me 10p size groups at 100 yards.

    Well shot fella
  5. Got a call from a farmer saying there were a few rabbits about eating the wheat so went up after work, managed 5 shots for 5 kills in 1 1/2 hours then nothing for over half an hour so called it a day.
  6. Nice, miss hunting with the air rifle, the HMR makes you idle
  7. the police will ring him anyway to confirm he is happy with you shooting section 1 firearms on his land.
  8. Thanks for that Tex, we dont talk about the misses, only the hits , as for the mag i have ordered one, cant take any more abuse about it , am not tight just careful. Cracking couple of hours as usual fella, see you soon with 2 mags
  9. Depends on wind conditions mate, i try and keep to 100 yards or less as you can headshoot them at that range with no wind, if its just pest control and not for the pot and theres no wind you can get out to 150 yards but i wouldnt go past that but im sure theres people who do its a differant story when theres wind as it can blow the little bullit of course by 3" or more at 100 yards. When conditions are right theres no better tool for the job.
  10. the A400 just fine fella, not been out for a while though as no pigeons anywhere, give it up as a bad job till harvest now.
  11. Went out again at teatime bunny bashing with the HMR, had a good 2 1/2 hours and finished with 21, also managed to shoot 2 sat togethor for one shot, thats the Yorkshire in me saving money
  12. give me a ring fella ill borrow you a flapper and a magnet and bouncers if you want.
  13. No probs Tex, will be in toach next week, gunna come over one evening.
  14. try putting the magnet in the tall rape so it looks like the birds are skirting just over the top, put decoys in the bald patches, try putting a flapper just above the tops of the rape also to look like one trying to land in.
  15. Its a MTC Viper 6 x 24 x 56, a bit overkill to be honest but i got it cheap.
  16. Had a few hours to kill as the better half was at work and was child free so decided to go out with the HMR for a few hours, made a little hide and got settled in, missed a few to start off due to the wind but that dropped after an hour, had a go at a Magpie at about 150 yards and clipped it, within 30 seconds of it flapping about 2 crows came down and attacked it with unbelievable ferocity, then 3 more Magpies came down trying to fend the crows off, it was unbelievable to watch, one crow was pecking at the magpie like a woodpecker while the other was chasing the other Magpies, there were crows coming from all directions calling like mad, never seen a crow attack something with that much intent in over 25 years shooting. Called it a day about 4 o clock, had a productive 4 hours, longist shot was a good 150 yards when the wind dropped, well chuffed with that, dont usually go past 100 yards.
  17. Same area give or take 5 miles
  18. was in the same boat and ended up buying a pair of Steiner skyhawk pro 10x26, really good quality compact binoculars being german and worth every penny of the 149 quid

Truth is he'll end up with a better lifestyle than most homeless poeple funded by the good old tax payer, TV, Games consoles, 3 meals a day, etc etc etc, albeit in solitary, should just execute scum like him who are 100% guilty.
  20. No they dont fella, they dont have to, as already said as long as you have the keys and they are secure theres no problem.
  21. cheap primers, if they dont look like this with other carts then its not your pins or springs, if you buy cheap carts expect cheap components, as long as they go bang they should be fine
  22. Yes , kept mine at my parents for a few years while i lived elsewhere, as long as you have the keys and they are secure theres no problem.
