Off the Alpbach (Austria) on Friday for Christmas and New Year :) :) Then Tignes/Val d'Isere in January I have been Going to the trois valleys for about 6 years prior to last year where i went to Tignes/Val for the 1st Time I truly love the 3 valley area, but i have to say its a close run thing between Tignes/val and 3 valleys both are massive areas!!!! The only problem i have is that the shooting and Ski seasons are at the same time!

Good luck, personally I think going on strike is counter productive Has it ever worked in modern history ? (last 20-30 years) stop paying the unions and keep the money for yourself

I agree it is an excellent read. Sniper one by Dan mills is a must read if you enjoyed Ed Macy's book. i have read many many military memoirs and story's and it is simply the best one.

I went to the Mens Skeet yesterday and apart from the stupid announcer people it was one of the best events I have been to. really well run from every way you can judge it, getting there and back was made easy by the helpful "games makers" and all the facilities were great wish I had more tickets! going to the football semi final on Tuesday but i think i am going to have get some para-Olympic tickets

Hi fella's Well sorry for not really tending to my post.... things took an unexpected turn and I was admitted to hospital on Tuesday (17th) for an emergency operation to remove an abscess so all in all it was a bit of a crash down to reality. I have had the opportunity to claim for my loss with the insurance company and I can say it was a pleasure to deal with them (AXA) they handled my claim perfectly and I am awaiting the arrival of our new bikes on Friday 27th i will actually get a better bike than i lost due to specification changes on the new models so at least i will only loose out the excess for my policy (£50) It does not excuse the blatant theft but at least my insurance was worth having.

Just an advisory tale and slight rant! Got back from my honeymoon Friday morning after a truly awesome time. Saturday Me and the Mrs though it would be nice to ride to the local farmers market (Westbridgeford, Nottingham) get a few bits for dinner. Arrived and locked our bikes to a bike rack in the middle of the street opposite said market.... returned an hour later to find both bikes gone and no where to be seen! what a come down to earth that was! checked any local cctv and nothing, nobody from the shops saw anything either :( Mr Police called around Sunday to get statements and Apparently there has been a spate of bikes stolen recently with the most likely outcome that they have been broken up and sold in parts. I really loved my bike and although 2 years old was in mint condition despite some hard riding :( in the hands of the insurance company now so we will see how that goes . My advice is get a good lock! i have D locks but did not take it this time as they are heavy and we were only going to be an hour.... how gutted am I now! :( Police say a D lock is almost impossible to break discretely so more than likely i would still have both bikes ... £1200 down the pan hopefully insurance will come good... 1st ever claim for anything in my life so all that money spent better be worth it

It's fantastic! I don't even think its expensive 30p a cup for an excellent coffee made in seconds people may say it's expensive comparing it to instant but Instant is not coffee! brown water at best. and compared to other machines that use grounds ok the grounds may be cheaper but you have to spend time preparing and cleaning the blooody thing after all time is money best thing i ever bought just trying to justify another machine for my desk at work

Each to his own I say, A Friend and I started Shooting at the same time, I always shoot gun down, he always pre mounts we have very similar scores. I just find I am more relaxed gun down, the whole motion of move, mount shoot feels good perhaps I could get better scores mounted but it just does not feel right for me

While i will not come on here and defend a whole profession, my good lady is a recently qualified doctor and after spending 6 years at Uni came out with £35 000 of debt which is a whole lot less than the next lot who will be paying £9000 a year. I have done ok for myself working hard everyday without much book-smarts I just knuckled down and worked my way up. Thankfully when I get home I can kick back and have a beer or go out shooting. The wife has to continue to study to stay "current" and be the best she can be, this ongoing learning is for the rest of her career. Salary wise its a very decent number but if you break it down to an hourly rate I actually get paid more and come the end of my shift I can leave. You don't tend to find many Doctors who pack up regardless of what's happening. while I am a MASSIVE anti unionist I ******* hate them. I am somewhat torn with this debate. I think the argument is less about the money and more about the terms and conditions being imposed. To be honest from being around lots of Doctors all this will do is increase the amount of good doctors that were born and raised here leaving for foreign shores. Leaving us with the the second rate ones.
