Thanks all! Great to hear there's a large amount of Leics folk on here. I live in Sileby. Just had a look on Google maps and it says it's just over an hour to get there, Kibworth is just under at 40 minutes 20 mile round trip. Wouldn't mind trying Garlands though. Looks really nice if the website is anything to go by!

Hi everyone, I have made a few posts on here already not knowing there was a member introduction area! My names Lewis. I'm pretty much brand new to shooting, all of which clay shooting (sporting) so forgive me if I ask some stupid questions or stumble along the way while here at this place! I have a new 30" Lanber Sporting Deluxe o/u as my first shotgun and based on the one time I've taken it out so far really like it. I live on the outskirts of Loughborough in Leicestershire and Kibworth is my ground of choice at the moment as I don't really know enough shooters just yet to go elsewhere (it's just me and my friend, who is also brand new to shooting, going to kibworth once a week or myself going with my brother being the trapper). Anyway, glad to be here, you all seem like a good bunch of folk! Lewis

Bought a lovely Lanber Sporting Deluxe from him (travelled all the way from Leicestershire as his prices and the guns wood were the nicest I could find) and found it a very pleasant experience for my first shotgun purchase. Very happy to of done business with them and would use again.

First post - hi all! Welcome to the clib! I also bought a brand new 30" Lanber Sporting Deluxe on Friday as my first shotgun and I'm extremely happy with it. Went on the local grounds yesterday and put 75 carts through it and it performed really well. Not quite sure whether the stock is too long for me or not (I'm new to gun fitting etc) so will have to ask someone who knows their stuff next time I'm up there. Overall lovely build quality and very nice looking. One snag I have though is it looks like the gunshop I bought it from greased it up good and proper and it's tainted the metal work and engraving on the outside. Does anyone have any suggestions on solvents I can use to shine up the outer metalwork back to glory? (dark in places)
