  1. Tees river is still good, about once a year I struggle up river with my seagull and avon and find a quiet stretch and have 1 maggot underneath one of my older floats, really light gear, it bobs under on minnows but its usually Perch that get caught.
  2. ps for course gear give some consideration to cash converters, there..i said it.
  3. In the season I support a commercial skipper out of Hartlepool and he duly keeps me over the Ling. Im always looking for a single or a double spot so any skippers on here want to pm me if they are short then please do. If your getting back into fishing on land then the larger resevoirs like Derwent can offer great fly or bait fishing. Bait fishing maybe suits the bairns more, and with a larger resevoir you can spread your kit out a bit and make a day of it, the trout make their way round quite periodically so you will hit more than less. A tip for South, Bewl Water on fly is fantastic, on foot its a great full day treck round, take the dog. The great thing about Bewl water, you can even take your dog in a boat!!! Be carefull if you fish on foot, on a sunny day when your half way round and stopping to fish on bends etc, you can easily forget the distance back to the start, its easy done. If the kids are there take their bikes, the cycle track goes all way around and takes in some Oast Houses and light hills. Its a great place.
  4. Ive justed posted this link on another Steve Lee thread, as Im new here Im just learning so admin please cope with me, heres an English version of Steve Lee music, which at the time was against the selling off of our Forests. 5. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i8DoHLdYrdo to be fair he does live in a humongous country. The English have versions of his music
  6. standard rubber dot gloves, shrink them in hot and cold water so they are mega tight, wearing a size smaller doesnt work so you have to shrink them.
  7. my Border Collie was teething whilst at Selby Game Fair, we were all in our modest (tiny) caravan that we owned at the time when at about midnight everyone started with the Lebanese unload, the dog hit every wall of the caravan has since hated any of it. Fireworks included.
  8. Cut it, wash it, drop it in a herb bag for cooking chicken breasts, put it in oven. Roast some veggies, plate it, Praise the Sky Fairy, eat it.
  9. i need to suss out this photo thing.
  10. Same as above poster Ive got me wedding ring done, only top of finger mind as the tattoo man couldnt do the underside, initials of wife and kids on chest, and on back an artists image of Gerrard Winstanley standing on a shovel with DIGGER MADE IN ENGLAND BENEATH. Mine was done in 99, looks a bit cack compared to the above, there used to be a small cross in the middle and it was filled in between the 2 black bands with yellow/gold ink. [/img]
  11. left mine over a week, had them tonight but had to chase 3 huge flies that all came from 1 bird around the living room with a can of spray, luckily the wife was asleep on the settee and didnt see, otherwise she would have nagged my ears off. I cook mine is these new fangled herbs and plastic bag thingies, tastes a treat and keeps the meat succulent. Whilst in the oven I slowly fry some carrots and collie in olive oil in a pan, meat and 2 veg jobs done.
