Hiya guys, well after a long day at a football tournament with my 8 year old we finally got home around 6:30pm ish my girlfriend said she was taking the dogs for a walk, so I went to the cabinet and pulled out my CZ 17hmr threw on my jack pike camo grabbed my shooting sticks in the car and off the the farm. I arrived at the farm about 7:40pm parked up and got myself ready,had a walk around the 1st field but nothing around on rounding the side of the tractor shed something caught my eye,,I froze solid then slowly lifted the her onto the sticks scanning through my scope to see what I could see...BOOM a nice plump rabbit was sitting feeding totally ablivious to me I quickly ranged it with the range finder 148yds 10 seconds later a little squeeze and over he went, number 1 in the bag. As I shot it another rabbit ran about 10 yards and stopped dead,but this was further away behind the 1st I'd just shot,again I ranged it 203yds,,,, still on the sticks I quickly reloaded and made my adjustments ,,click and over No 2 went, a brief pause to make sure there were no more knocking about then made my way to my victims,the 1st I hit straight in the front of the neck as he was facing me,,picked him up and made my way to the other as I bent down to pick it up and have a look(THIS IS THE STRANGE PART) I couldn't find any trace of a wound nor any blood no entry or exit hole,, I couldn't believe it, so I put it in the game bag with his mate and went on my way. Has any of you guys experienced anything like that with a HMR as everything else I have shot the amo I used 17g hornady v-max has made a right mess of it. Thanks chaps phil

I will echo what both have said above, I have 1 and its is simply awesome in every way I use mine fore pest control, the trigger is ridiculously good sometimes you don't realise that you have pulled it till it hits the target . So my advice would be get to ur local RFD or private and get 1 bought believe me you will NOT be disappointed, let me no if u get 1 and how u get on with it

CZ 452 17hmr all day long so so accurate it gets scary at the thought the tiny little v-max hits its target every time, with such devastating effect.

iv made one of them on 1 of my perms due to it being quiet flat,, I have used 16 pallets and put on a wooden balcony type round it with a ally ladder to help me get in,,also it's built just under the edge of the barn so I'm protected from the elements if it turns bad! It also gives me a 240* field of view across my land.id post a few pics to show u but I DNT understand how to put them on

hiya chaps just heard on the radio that 1 of the FEOs at GMP has been suspended due to 100 licence grants being abit dodgy!!!! And 8000 of us in the GMP area are goin to be reviewed, has and of you guys heard or know anything more in the matter?? Thanks Phil 👍

Hiya guys after my first post about the church with the feral problem,,today I got home early so decided to have a drive over to see what I could get, rang the vicar and ok'd it,, on the way there I saw a plod car parked up so pulled over and let the officer no were I was goin and what I was doin,, and he very kindly radioed through to let the station know of my intentions,, back in the car and off to the church,,I arrived around 5:30pm had a quick recce then got the MK4 an sticks out the car,, within 30seconds No1 was in the bag😊,, 6:20pm and I was ready for home JOB DONE for today, with a bag of 18👍 and a very happy vicar,I'm goin to pay another visit on Saturday,, thanks Phil

Was just wondering is there any sort of meeting place were PW members local to each other meet up and have a chat and a coffee, pretty much like we do on here just without the coffee,, and share our hunting forays,just a thought😕

Hiya guys need some advice please,, I did a job at a local church today, and the vicar was looking up at the bell tower, then said to me I need to get rid of them pigeons and quickly (feral pigeons). So I offered my services to him explaining how I'd get rid ov them, to which he replied the jobs yours😊, after having a good look round sussing out what best area to shoot from,backstops ect I told him I'd be up later in the week to try sort the problem, the church is away from any main roads and doesn't have any roads or footpaths around it also the graveyard/church gates are locked at 6:30pm every night so after that is when I no I can safely shoot knowing there isn't anybody lurking in the graveyard (well alive anyway)🙈 my question is, have any of you chaps got any same perms or is there any thing that says you can't shoot in a graveyard/church grounds??? The vicar has said he will sign a permission slip for me so I'm covered with that, thanks phil.

What do you guys think of putting a hawke sidewinder 6-12x24 ir on my 17hmr instead of it being on my daystate MK4 Any opinions appreciated thanks👍

Hiya chaps what do u think,,, currently on my daystate MK4 is I have a hawke sidewinder 6-24x56 ir and on my CZ 17 hmr I have a hawke sport HD ir 4-12x50 and I'm thinking of swapping them over, I use my hmr a lot more then the MK4, and with it being a bigger magnification it would benefit me more due to shooting much further distances with the hmr,, have any of you guys got a sidewinder on a hmr or something similar,, thanks phil👍👌
