  1. Steve Lovett sets the course at Garlands and that will continue. He will now also once a month set targets at Oakedge - I think the first Sunday from July on. He's not stopping Garlands.
  2. Some driven I literally don't have the gun to my face but rather just look at the clay with two eyes and swing the barrel through but has to be high enough to do that otherwise low driven I have to close an eye. Anything I can take canting my barrels much better. Hateful birds.
  3. I'll be fine once I sort out how to shoot them one eyed and be more confident when shooting them. So depressing.

    What is this weed

They are quite easy to pull up though as their roots don't seem to go very deep. I am not much of a gardener so I quite often have loads of it, leave it a while because I like the flower and then pull it up.
  5. The two that kill my card - most driven and most teal.
  6. They said last year they were going to do a registered shoot but nothing came of it.
  7. All weathers and there have been some exciting times.
  8. Can anyone tell me what Badnocks in Essex is like, I was thinking of going to a registered ESP there. Thanks.
  9. We will be shooting - I will let you know.
  10. Thanks Will, Tony and I have been asked to shoot for the GLN Team at the Intercounties shoot
  11. Thank you Terry, it would have been quite funny if we had both won but he wasn't far off. Had quite a few rough weeks with my scores, not helped by me continuing to shoot when sick but that helped perk me up.
  12. I was very happy to win Ladies for the Greater London Sporting Championship held yesterday at Southdown - a good mix of targets on a pleasant day bumping into lots of friends. I started my day in a bad way but ended it on a high. I missed the title last year by a target so was very happy this year. 83/100. I love the shooting community, every person I spoke to had something constructive to offer me, to help me get in the right frame of mind for the Sporting shoot. The old man didn't do badly either, one clay away from Champion, he finished on a 93/100 with a bad back and dodgy knee and did well in the Sportrap with an 88/100 missing his last pair for a 90. Considering how **** he felt first thing in the morning, he did very well.
  13. Went to Windrush for Fitasc today, very enjoyable. We shot 2 layouts had a 20 min break then shot 2 more. Started at 12.30 and finished by 4.10 ish. I prefer 2 and 2 format, I find the breaks too long otherwise.
  14. I would next time I think but may just shoot over two days. I often shoot 2 or 3 shoots on a Sunday but there is always a break between even if it's driving to the next one. Sneaky Didn't think of that.
  15. Thoroughly enjoyed it this year with the ground opened right up again. Tough in parts but enjoyably so and lovely squad. My only criticism is that we only had a 15 minute break between our two courses and this was not enough. We seemed to have squads between squads i.e. squad 9 and 9a and squad 10 and 10 a so I think this may have played with break times. Just enough time to go back to car park and re-stock cartridges and have a wee. No time to eat and have a cup of tea so did take it out of me a bit for the second half. Half hour would have done for me so I could just relax for a few minutes. I may shoot next year over two days to avoid that happening.
  16. Inception .....comatosed I was.
