Yestereday, I posted a bottle of Fox Lure to a member on here, who paid extra to have it delivered by 1st class signed for, instead of the usual 2nd class signed for. I went one better and paid the difference (total £12:15) to have it delivered today (guaranteed before one 1pm) but when checking the tracking number, a message stated, 'Sorry, it was sent to to our Home Counties North MC in Hemel Hempstead (instead of Suffolk) by mistake'! So, sadly, it won't be delivered today, but now on the (hopefully)next working day. I am filing a complaint for compensation (for us both) to Royal Mail as soon as the package arrives!

I have purchased sample pack/s of the above. These are .217/5.51mm and are 21gr / 23gr / 25gr / 27gr and 30gr. If anyone is interested in trying them in their FAC air rifle, I can provide 15 of each weight. Price is £10 posted. I paid £21:00 for them.

This was Keen's, I phoned them today. My other 'local' RFD is Sportsman G C in Newport. Keen's are nearer though.

One of my local RFD's quoted a price of £45:00 to do a transfer of a shotgun. Not sure if this is a good price?

I have the above for sale. It's in good condition with a few marks on the stock. There's also a few small marks on the barrel where a Hushpower screw on moderator was fitted. It has a 3 inch chamber choked Full and a 28 inch barrel. This is a solid shotgun which was purchased 2nd hand by myself in 2019 and I have only fired eleven cartridges through it. The bore is very clean and there's no rusting or pitting on the barrel. Sling studs are fitted. Price: £80:00 collected or I can RFD it at cost. I'm in Mid Glamorgan (CF39) area

I'll take a look into this. I use to subscribe to a few shooting magazines, but one by one, I cancelled them. Sproting Gun and Shooting Sports were almost identical so the Shooting Sports went. Sporting Gun is now getting boring for me and that too will be cancelled in a few months. I only have GunMart and Rifle Shooter now, which so far, are okay.

Totally agree, but the shotgun will be up for sale soon.

Indeed. I have a few boxes of non subsonic ones, that I bought off a mate years ago, and the price per box then was £7:65. These contain 18grms of #6 which looking at websites like Just Cartridges, is all that's available.

UPDATE: I've just purchased two boxes of Eley subsonics to try out with my new (to me) Baikal Hushpower. I was 'surprised' at the price of £12 a box, although I admit that due to the amount of non subsonic cartridges I have, I haven't bought any for at least 10 years.

Indeed he is. I've never met him personally but have spoken a few times to him, and bought two shotguns from him as well (RFD-RFD) transfer.

Good news of course. I wonder why he's not on the site though?

Does anyone know if wabbitbosher is alive and kicking? His last visit on here was in October. I do have an email address for him but just wondered about him.

I have been informed that two good brands of the above are Eley 3" magnum & Lyevale Express Magnasonic. Are there any other brands out there that have been tried and tested? I've just purchased a Baikal Hushpower shotgun and intend buying some subsonic cartridges tomorrow. I have approx' 140 non subsonic /3" magnum cartridges for use with my Yildiz S/S.

I had an email from BASC informing me that you don't write the moderator onto the buyers licence and also no need to inform the police. The moderator was not entered onto my licence when I bought it, I just showed the RFD proof that I had one. It is not listed on my licence. Email from BASC Moderators for shotguns are not licensable items so would not need to be shown on your SGC, which means you can sell it to someone without entering onto their SGC.

The guy hasn't been in this site since July.
