  1. Is there anyone who would like scrabble tiles to make up family names etc? There is only one letter 'S' missing. Let me know asap.
  2. Is there anyone who has children/grandchildren etc who collects keyrings. I have quite a few here that they would be welcome too. Let me know asap before I give them to a charity shop. Now spoken for.
  3. I'm wondering if the police would only request the past five years from the time of the renewal, ie, mine would be 2020 - 2025.
  4. Yes, I've done that many times in the past.
  5. I've just read that the above gentleman passed away yesterday aged 85. R.I.P. Born : Anthony John Green 29 January 1939 Kingston upon Hull, East Riding of Yorkshire, England Died 4 March 2024 (aged 85) Sports commentator, television presenter Years active 1978–2024 Famous for his appearances on bullseye alongside Jim bowen
  6. To be honest, I've got over 12 months to go, but a mate of mine asked this question and I wasn't sure of the answer. SWP use to be one of the best, but sadly, are going down the road of other's. I recently had a 'security check', the first in over 40 years apart from renewals, and I was told that SWP are almost 2.5 years behind in some area's.
  7. I thought as much, but wanted to make sure.
  8. Do you have to have another Proforma form signed by a GP if your renewal is due and you've already had this done 5 years ago?
  9. Having see one of these last night, and trying it out, I was very impressed with it. It's about the size of a Mars Bar, and costs just under £46:00. Just go onto the website and type in 'Night Vision Monocular'.
  10. I've been watching the latest DVD by Chris Green (Wildfowling) and he went out with a friend who was using a punt gun. His friend stated that with 36oz of shot, it cost £70 a go to fire it!
  11. I meant to say, another excellent video, Simon, and thanks for adding them. I agree with you regarding head shooting. Many times I have viewed video's where the quarry, be it rats, rabbit's and/or foxes have been shot in the body etc, only to die a slow death. No matter what we kill, we owe it to them to make it quick and humane.
  12. After trying many ir torches, I now use a Solaris SRX which is superb. In good conditions, I can 'see' a known 450+ yards easily. Mine is used on a Vulpine Mk 3 NV scope.
  13. ICELAND (the shop not the country!) do a similar product, and, I think, Farmfoods also.

  15. Yes, but state pension is earned by paying national insurance, a form of tax, so basically, we are being taxed again.
  16. It's not a case of 'I'm hard done by' more that our government claw back money that, should not be classed as income. I could retire and live off my savings/pension, but I decided to give it a least one more year before I finally finish work. Maybe I'll go part-time later on. My annoyance is that the government, instead of allowing people like myself, to continue working and receive state pension, they class the pension as income and tax it. And, I am not better off at all, because if my tax code had remained the same, then I would be paying less tax on my wages.
  17. Update: I've just been sent my 2024/25 tax code. It starts off at £12570, then I get flat rate job expenses (£100) plus professional subscriptions (Unison)£52:00 which equals £12,722 Less State Pension (£11,485) Total tax free amount = £1237 ( tax code C123L) So, as mentioned previously, my state pension is wiped out, all because I chose to continue working! Oh, I forgot, I don't pay National Insurance anymore. Yahoo!!!!
  18. Parcel Force 48 can only deliver air rifles.
  19. Average cost is £45 to send. And the receiving RFD may also add a fee.
  20. I've just been reading about this. Has it been mentioned on any of our news channels? https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-68428496
  21. My American friend uses heated handwarmers, and places them (wrapped) at the base of his spine. He reckons it works well.
  22. Sadly, Dave has passed away. R.I.P.
  23. I can't see anything on the game fair page. Maybe later on they will publish this.
