  1. UPDATE: I've just purchased two boxes of Eley subsonics to try out with my new (to me) Baikal Hushpower. I was 'surprised' at the price of £12 a box, although I admit that due to the amount of non subsonic cartridges I have, I haven't bought any for at least 10 years.
  2. I've just purchased two boxes of the above to try out with my new (to me) Baikal Hushpower. I was 'surprised' at the price of £12 a box, although I admit that due to the amount of non subsonic cartridges I have, I haven't bought any for at least 10 years.
  3. Thanks. Shot size is not an issue at the moment. I will take a look at what the RFD has in stock tomorrow.
  4. Indeed he is. I've never met him personally but have spoken a few times to him, and bought two shotguns from him as well (RFD-RFD) transfer.
  5. Good news of course. I wonder why he's not on the site though?
  6. Does anyone know, by chance, the thread size of the front bead for the above shotgun? I need one for mine. Thanks.
  7. Does anyone know if wabbitbosher is alive and kicking? His last visit on here was in October. I do have an email address for him but just wondered about him.
  8. I have been informed that two good brands of the above are Eley 3" magnum & Lyevale Express Magnasonic. Are there any other brands out there that have been tried and tested? I've just purchased a Baikal Hushpower shotgun and intend buying some subsonic cartridges tomorrow. I have approx' 140 non subsonic /3" magnum cartridges for use with my Yildiz S/S.
  9. I had an email from BASC informing me that you don't write the moderator onto the buyers licence and also no need to inform the police. The moderator was not entered onto my licence when I bought it, I just showed the RFD proof that I had one. It is not listed on my licence. Email from BASC Moderators for shotguns are not licensable items so would not need to be shown on your SGC, which means you can sell it to someone without entering onto their SGC.
  10. I thought that might be the case but wanted to check. Thanks.
  11. The above gentleman has sadly passed away at the age of 77. R.I.P. Steve.
  12. I purchased one of the above a while back, and it had to be sent to an RFD. Does anyone know if I can advertise this for sale without going through another RFD?
  13. I hate the newer vehicles with 'floating' headlights. When they come behind me and there's a dip etc in the road, it looks like they are flashing me!
  14. PM sent and will post them on Monday. Thanks.
  15. All my firearms etc are covered by my house insurance under 'sporting goods'. May be worth you checking if you have this?
  16. Good Riddance to this obnoxious highly overpaid head parasite!
  17. I was told (but haven't tried it) to lightly rub tin foil (Bacofoil etc) on the barrels. Not sure if this will work though.
  18. The above for sale. This is an excellent, well tried and tested successful lure. It can either be sprayed on grass etc or poured on rags and placed in an airtight container, then just remove the lid at your chosen spot. It lasts longer that way too. A little goes a long way. Price is £14:00 a bottle or £26:00 for two bottles posted to the same address (UK mainland & N/Ireland) by Royal Mail 2nd class/signed for. Payment by bank transfer please.
  19. Octopus Energy state that they are the lowest in standing charges. I've been with them a few years now and they've been pretty good with their prices. I agree regarding Welsh Water. I've got a water meter fitted (for the past 25+years) but their standing charge (not sure what I'm paying at the moment) is high.
  20. How much are you paying for the above? Mine, with Octopus Energy are 52.18 per day (Electric) and 27.47 per day (Gas) totalling 79.65p daily.
  21. My roe sack was only used after the deer had been prepared before hand and only the meat was pcked.
