  1. I've only been to the game fair/s when they were at the other venue. It's a round trip of approx' 240 mile for me, which is okay. AA Autoroute recommended M4/M5, but not much difference in mileage/time going via your suggestion, which the AA also showed.
  2. Is anyone planning on going to the above game fair at Blenheim Palace 26th-28th July? I'm thinking of going, especially as a BASC member, entry is free. I will more than likely be travelling on my own (car) and will have room for 3 more people. I live in the CF39 area (RCT, Mid Glamorgan) and plan on visiting Saturday 27th.
  3. Carbon or Stainless?
  4. Vinegar and battery acid for us!
  5. Eye wash. We're 'ard as nails' where I come from. πŸ™‚
  6. You could try that of course, but you could mould the Mars Bar all over the 'plate' etc. Good luck whatever way you try.
  7. Try a piece of Mars Bar that can be pressed into the 'plate'. It works well for Mice in a standard type trap.
  8. The ones I mentioned are full bodied and have a metal bar going through them with curved wings attached. The curves in the wings generate the spin. They can be placed on a bouncer, providing there's enough breeze/wind, but I've used them on my rota. I've just checked online and mine are identical to the air pro ones you mentioned.
  9. A lovely shotgun. I owned one years ago, and, like other guns, stupidly sold it!
  10. I've used the flocked decoys, although they were not made by Air-Pro, but exactly the same. They worked well, especially if there was a breeze together with the breeze created by the rota. I've also used the large Crow decoys with foam wings. They are good for when Crows are out at a distance and they are drawn into the other decoys.
  11. The above for sale. Genuine and brand new/unworn. Comes from a smoke free home. One size fits all. Β£13:00 inc pp.
  12. Yes, this was suggested to anyone starting to shoot clays at our club.
  13. Could be, and he dyed his hair!
  14. State pension is paid 4 weekly, and the day depends on the last two digits of your N.I. number. I get paid on a Wednesday.
  15. My new rate from April is Β£884:80. I've paid in the full amount of contributions since 1976.
  16. So was IπŸ™‚πŸ™‚πŸ™‚πŸ™‚πŸ™‚πŸ™‚πŸ™‚πŸ™‚πŸ‘
  17. You should have said yesterday, Russ, as I've just changed shifts in work and I'm now in the weekend.πŸ˜‰
  18. Just to add that this particular red dot scope can be used on a centre fire.
  19. Mine too is paid in full but I'm taxed on my wages owing to still working full time. As mentioned, my personal tax allowance had been reduced by Β£10,400, meaning that my yearly state pension is wiped out by my lower personal tax allowance.
  20. I've just received this from the above. BASC has welcomed a government decision to launch a public consultation on a proposal to remove sound moderators from firearms licensing controls. Launched today, the Home Office consultation seeks views on proposals to amend the definition of firearm in section 57(1)(d) of the Firearms Act 1968, removing the reference to sound moderators. Currently, sound moderators must be covered by a firearms certificate. However, the wording of the consultation states that β€œsound moderators are not dangerous as firearms, and removing them from firearms licensing controls does not have any implications for public safety”. To respond to the consultation, click here. There are four questions to answer, plus your personal details. The consultation closes on 2 April 2024. You can also email the consultation directly with your comments here. Please add your comments.
  21. Maybe claim off his house insurance? My shooting related equipment, and firearms are insured this way.
