  1. Possibly, but I can only go on what they say, and, they won't do any RFD-RFD transfer without what they've stated. I'm not bothered though as it's being surrended to the police before the end of the coming week.
  2. The guy on here that wanted it, said that he 'would not send his certificate to me by post', so it's his loss. It's the only way that I, and the RFD I use, will do a transfer now.
  3. I don't know if a certificate can be sent back seperately to the buyer, although I can't see why not, it's just that sending it securely with a firearm would be less chance of it getting lost. I've send registered/signed for items before and, despite the items being signed for, they never arrived at their intended destination. Also, I was told by my RFD that if I don't fill in the details on the purchasers certificate, then they have to list the firearm on their ledger before sending it out and accordingly, would incur further costs to them/the purchaser.
  4. The only way (twice) I did it was to send the certificate with the firearm, albeit it was sealed in an envelope. If I have the 'purchasers' valid certificate and enter the details of the sale, then give this to the RFD to send with the firearm, when the purchaser calls to collect the firearm, he/she should match the photo on the certificate. To me, it seems foolproof.
  5. PLEASE NOTE. Any interested party who would like this shotgun, must send his/her certificate to me so that I can enter the details onto it. It will then be enclosed with the shotgun and my RFD will forward this to the receiving RFD. This is the CORRECT & LEGAL way of doing a RFD-RFD transaction.
  6. Regarding the above, for those who don't know, the correct way of doing a transfer is that the buyer sends his/her certificate to the seller, the seller fills in the details on the purchasers certificate, and gives this with the firearm to the RFD. The RFD then sends the firearm/certificate to the receiving RFD who then completes the transaction. I know that in the past it was done differently, with the RFD sending the firearm to another RFD and then they add the firearm details onto the buyers certificate. I, like many other's have done this in the past. My local RFD will NOT send any firearm to another RFD without the purchasers certificate completed correctly and given to them with the firearm. I offered a FREE .410 shotgun but the person who was interested stated that he would not send me his certificate, and that he usually just goes to his RFD and sorts it out there.
  7. +1 And the Curry's advert where customers and staff are crying over a ****** TV!!!!
  8. I agree. A lot of shops are reducing the price to get shot of them. B&Q today were selling their artificial trees and trimmings at reduced prices.
  9. Yesterday, our local shop/post office were selling Easter mini eggs etc!!!!
  10. My wife received a renewal quote in the post, which was almost £185 more than last year. I went on Go Compare (as they give a refund of up to £250 if you have to pay an excess charge) and I managed to get a good deal for her. Application form filled in on line and I also kept a copy. When she received the documents yesterday (her insurance expires 17th January) she noticed that her annual mileage was written down as 1000 miles. Checking the copy, it showed 8000. She contacted the company yesterday and the guy on the other end said that they only input what details are provided. She informed him that she had proof of what we stated, but he said, 'Okay, but there's an admin' charge of £47 to adjust it. She declined that and pointed out that she had a right to cancel the policy and receive a full refund, if it's cancellend within 14 days of receiving it. He would'nt budge so she told him that she wanted to cancel it. He then said that there was £20 fee for this! Anyway, the policy was cancelled, she will receive a refund minus £20. I looked on Go Compare again and took out another policy which was only £11 more than the first one. Today, she spoke to a staff member at Go Compare (Newport South Wales) and was told that the £20 should not have been taken, and that they will investigate this with the hope that the £20 will aldo be refunded.
  11. Thanks Mel. It's a nice shotgun but surplus to requirements. If I don't hear from anyone soon, it will either handed into the police or a RFD.
  12. FREE FREE FREE The above shotgun. It needs a strip down and clean, as it's hard to eject the cartridge etc. It does fire okay though. I need to get this removed off my licence asap. It can be collected from my home, or I can send it to an RFD of your choice at a cost of £45, which is what my RFD charges.
  13. It is Mel. It's in excellent condition. Bought from wabbitbosher approx' 2 years ago and I've never fired it. I fitted a screw on Hushpower silencer and never even tried it. That was sold separately. I'd keep it but would rather someone get use out of it. I've just bought a Baikal Hushpower which is awesome.
  14. Actually, if the value of the goods sent cannot be proved, then the postage charge is refunded. For the bottle of fox lure that I sent 'guaranteed next day before 1pm' but was delivered a day late, I will receive a postage refund (£12:15p)
  15. Now reduced to £50 and I can send via RFD-RFD for an extra £45 which is what the RFD charges.
  16. UPDATE 2: Online claim form now been completed. I'm now going to wait to see if I will get a refund.
  17. An excellent compilation, Simon. My best wishes to you and your family (including Jack of course) for a very Merry Christmas and a Happy healthy and Prosperous New Year.
  18. After trying both, I agree with your comments. Once I used all the subsonic ones, I'll start on the others.

Yes, I believe so. I do like his Xmas song though.
  20. Would you consider posting at cost? I realise it's heavy. My mate is looking to purchase one in the new year.
  21. UPDATE: It was delivered this morning! Now to sort out trying to claim compensation!
