Extreme Shooting Range in Krakow
steve_b_wales replied to steve_b_wales's topic in General Shooting Matters
We would be staying at the Q Hotel which is near places to eat etc. We would be going for 3 nights so not much time to see a lot of the sights. The hotel is room only so I would be grateful of any good places to visit for an evening meal. Thanks. -
Has anyone visited the above range or knows someone who has? I'm planning a trip to Krakow next year to visit Auschwitz, and there's an option to visit the range as well.

Ordered them Saturday (25th)and received them this morning. 🙂

Thanks for all the messages etc. All sorted now. -
It depends on what rifle/calibre you intend to use it for. I would think that for air rifles or rimfire rifles, this would be okay, possibly for larger calibres too. I've never tried one though.

Squirrel control in Gloucestershire
steve_b_wales replied to ricardolamos's topic in Shooting/Ferreting/Beating Wanted
There's a few Squirrel control groups on Facebook. Try them, you might get lucky. -
If and when you get them off, clean the threads and smear some Copperslip grease on them. I use this on all my chokes and it works well.
-
WD40 sprayed on them and left for awhile sometimes works, or you could soak the ends of the barrels in diesel, although you could end up damaging the bluing. Another way, and again this could mark the bluing, is to lightly heat up the barrels using a blow lamp and then try and remove the chokes. I would try the WD40 method first.

I've just ordered the above DVD from Chris Green. This is due for release on Dec' 7th and I should receive mine soon after. Once viewed it will be up for sale, priced at £18:50 inc postage. The DVD will NOT be copied and will be in mint condition.
-
A good price too. The ones I bought would have been £2:50 cheaper without the postage.

The above gentleman has sadly passed away at the age of 80.

I've just checked online to see who is the cheapest retailer that sells the above item. I needed 4, and found that ReloadingUK was the best @ £27:10 inc R.M tracked postage.

You may be better off (in the long run) getting a Carlson Speed Wrench choke remover. Not cheap but excellent for removing chokes on different shotguns, plus ones that are tight to remove.
