    BREXIT

However a few years after no deal when the economy has collapsed we could join the EU and qualify for the Euro and Direct aid from the EU. Our citizens would emigrate to Poland and Hungary. Land Rover could come back to where it belongs and all would be well 🙂

    BREXIT

The worst Labour government could not be worse than no deal.

    BREXIT

So where do we think this is all going. The lack of progress points to nowhere fast and despite the Mogg needs to go with Boris. We need one of the Tory stalwarts to call for a GNU sit down with outside help and agree a plan.

    BREXIT

This ^^^^^ seems unlikely but in the current climate looks like a possible. The lack of a strong figure to bind them together is a problem. They would still need an agenda either a deal or a second ref to aim at.

    BREXIT

Shortest PM in history lasted 119 days. That's about the middle of Nov. Do you think Boris will stay after he has asked for an extension?

    BREXIT

The only tools he has are bluff and bluster and sooner or later the Tory party members who put him in place will see him for what he is. If he lasts that long.
  7. When the depleted radiation source was looked at it was quickly ruled out due to the perceived public reaction to it. I have no doubt that things like SMR's could be part of the solution in an enlightened world but with all this stuff ' Not by me' 🙂
  8. That's certainly the way that Nissan and BMW had it in their future project plan (2009) with Hydrogen phase from 2040. Nuclear could be a large part of the answer if we were better educated about it. There is a small heat plant solution that puts a depleted radiation source underground within residential areas. It can be used to provide endless heat (100 years) to power the homes its very cheap to do and as the unit is 20 feet under its very safe. We looked at it as part of eco home design but the move was towards passive standards. The EV subsidy was based upon the expected life span of the batteries within the car, based on the Nissan leaf trial's. It looks likely that the batteries will have a life span much greater than first thought (15 years instead of 9) and already BMW with the i3 have replacement cells available. The take up of vehicles has been slower than predicted. The growth of ULEZ in larger cities may change this. It's certainly not easy to get figures and when the original calculations were done for the subsidy, no account was taken of the cost of energy production. The biggest issue was trying to calculate the residual value of the vehicle after 5 years to determine depreciation costs.
  9. The UK population is said to use the resources of four worlds. To live sustainably we would have to reduce our consumption by 75%. Better than the States though at 12 times.
  10. Gun safety on the second picture looks questionable Cracking venue.
  11. 75% ? 4 worlds down to 1.
  12. Welcome to a place of climate change deniers and promoters of child troll's. There are two ways forward. We ignore it (or pay lip service to the issue) and use science and engineering to try to deal with the issues. We find some global solution which is likely to require dramatic cuts in consumption, highly unlikely given the impact on individuals. Personally like most people, I make small changes where its easy to do so and the rest I wait to be pushed. Carbon Capture Containment and Usage looks promising particularly if it could be linked directly to a carbon use tax.
  13. I would not know what strike was at that age. I can remember my dad talking about Red Robbo but that was the limit.
  14. Describe what happened after it was shot. Assuming you shot it through the brain rather than the jaw, then I can only think it was dead. I have never seen anything survive a brain shot. Plenty of jumping about with nerves but nothing more. I cant imagine any pellet is going to be any better or worse than another with that placement.

Its not about the size of the fish it's the size of the pond......
  16. Greta Thunberg at the UN wow. What a speech credit where its due for a child to stand up at the UN and tell us like it is takes some nerve. I suspect that we are too scared to follow through on climate change promises but I have to hand it to her. Go girl go.

    BREXIT

Yep just because it effects thousands of people going on holiday or already there, no need to make a song and a dance about it. 🙄
  19. That is a very well made video and excellent last rabbit. Hard work stalking under the trees in a squat position. I bet you can feel that the next day.

    Good morning Gordon.

    BREXIT

It will take the leaders under pressure maybe to agree a review of the structure and operation of the EU. Run externaly under the management of an external executive an action plan for reform could be enacted. Its the way that many large organisations do it. It starts with one champion talking to another. No reason why net contributors could not agree it as a course of action. Hard for any organisation to resist.

    BREXIT

I would not argue with much of what you say but its a needless pain to go through. The short time is likely to be for several life times whilst we continue to trade many points below where we would otherwise have been. At a time when the competition for resources and managing the decline of the planet is getting ever critical we choose to opt to abandon the strength that is the EU. It does not make sense that a great nation like ours cannot bend the will of the EU but thinks it can cut a dash in the big pond. We will get through it because soon we will realise that the regulatory framework arrangements that are the EU are where we have to be.

Scarry to see what we will be up against.

    BREXIT

Unfortunately some of the hoped for rollover deals are not happening. The 3rd parties are driving a hard bargain 🤣
