  1. I have a very similar S&W15/22 MOE and it's a fun gun. Yes it's a little bit 'Rambo' to look at but that's selling it short. Round after round with very very few failures, cycles pretty much everything and there's a whole raft of aftermarket bits should you so choose. Sometimes a bit of fun just blatting a few bits of paper is exactly what the doctor ordered and this thing delivers that in spades it also doubles as a pretty handy bunny basher. Enjoy the S&W
  2. Having read the book many months ago I watched the film with some trepidation about how it would be cut short and fragmented, not as encompassing and it was. It had to be. But to be fair, I thought Cooper did a brilliant job, Eastwood did his part with the direction and overall I thought it was solid. I'd see it again but I'd choose the book over the film for the real idea of what made Chris Kyle tick, Oh and there was no sign or mention of the 'Jesse Ventura' scene lol.
  3. Shame it looks full now :( Would love to do something like this. Had my .308 for 3 or 4 months and still not put a single round through it! Any future plans? For the price it sounds like a bargain.
  4. Shot at quite a few places in Orlando, including the Orlando Gun Club, East Orange Shooting Sports and Oakridge. They're all much of a muchness in terms of prices and for the most part are very welcoming of tourists. Had a couple of days at OGC this last visit and found that some of the staff were friendly and helpful but a couple were much less so. In fact they were arrogant and seemed put out by us. I wouldn't choose to go back again. On the other hand I've never had a bad experience at East Orange Shooting Sports whom I've shot with a number of times. They're a bit further out but none of them are really central to Intl Drive, so whichever you choose will involve a little bit of a drive. Whoever you end up going with, take photo ID, make sure you are wearing proper shoes (no sandals or flip flops) and no vests. Have fun. It's hard not to enjoy it. I guess like everything, different people, different days, different results. We all have off days. Oh and +1 for the BassPro visit (Opposite side of the road to the Premium Outlets). The shop itself is expensive by US standards but OMG it's heaven to walk around, so much to see! From an aisle with boats and quads to racks of guns or bows. Awesome place. Walmart for men lol.
  5. Have not had a single feed or ejection issue with my FAC Escort and it loves those Clear Pigeons. Wierdly though, my good friend has an identical Escort (9+1) and he has had a few issues and it doesn't like the Clear Pigeon cartridges at all.
  6. Well, decision was made a while back, 8 weeks from order I finally took delivery of this today... Howa 1500 varmint barrel 24" in .308win. Stealth combo kit so it comes with the Hogue stock, DBM conversion with 5shot magazine and Sonic 45 mod, bipod and a Nikko Sterling 3-12x56 scope (which is rather decent for a sub £200 optic) plus mounts. A lot of kit for under £900 all in. Cheapest option and tbh I'm hoping it shoots as well as it looks. I'll find that out in a week's time.
  7. Thank heavens my PS4 has worked flawlessly from new... shame there's hardly a single decent game to run on it yet! :(
  8. Taylor's do a nice Cafetiere coffee. We recently bought a new coffee machine which does the whole thing from beans, now that's when you get a nice cup of java
  9. I've done NEBOSH General and NEBOSH Construction and there's work out there with these qualifications, however, a NEBOSH Diploma will open more doors and potentially take you further if you wish to pursue a career in Health and Safety. Give it a go, good luck!
  10. Breathtaking. some outstanding images. Hugely talented people.
  11. Recieved today, thank you for a pain-free transaction. Very happy.
  12. Deepest sympathy and heartfelt condolences for your loss. My own Mum passed suddenly and without warning a few years ago. I know how much it hurts.
  13. As a SHEQ Manager for a contractor, I can assure you that if your employer has highlighted an associated risk for which they cannot provide suitable alternative control measures and the result is that as an employee you are required to wear safety footwear to mitigate the residual risks, then such Personal Protective Equipment must be provided and issued to you free of charge. That's their legal obligation under HASWA '74, MAW '89 and PPEW '92. Point them here > http://www.hse.gov.uk/pubns/indg174.pdf
  14. Bit of feedback, great scope. Delivery was quick and I have to say I'm very happy with it. Thanks Richo, much appreciated.
  15. Pulled pork in a smokey BBQ sauce. Om nom nom.
  16. hmmm can you please pm me pics. I'm local so could collect
  17. Banderas is the glue that holds the movie together. Very funny to watch.
  18. I'm not sure on the seller's ability to shoot... He's selling this scope after being bought a new one. Let's hope someone else mounts it to his rifle for him... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/4-12x42-Air-Rifle-Scope-/121404522413?pt=UK_SportingGoods_Hunting_ShootingSports_ET&hash=item1c4445ffad lol
  19. Aye, no big issues with them at all. They have been pretty on the ball. Think I have been pretty lucky, have seen them turn variations round in a couple of days. Can't grumble. Only thing is the ammo limits are a little lower than I'd hoped for, they're workable but I'll have to be making more regular visits to the local RFDs than I'd expected for a while. No biggy.
  20. So, after months of putting together an application (time spent working to get permissions and club membership etc) and then having put in my application for FAC and SGC about 6 weeks ago, it's finally here! Interview went well, had to fire in a couple of reminders to the FEO to push it along at times but it was well worth it. I now have my tickets, some slots to fill and a massive smile on my face. Well done Cleveland Police. I've heard horror stories about poor guys who've waited months and months before so it was a relief to have this go through so quickly. I've been insufferable since the interview, waiting for the post everyday like an expectant dad lol. Still, it's here now and I guess I need to start shopping
  21. Some of that went down your top though and I thought you were actually going to cry when you dropped a bit... Looked and smelled amazing though. #hatediets
  22. Had a play with one of these at the weekend along with a mate down at CLA. Very very nice rifle. The new trigger is lovely. The GRS stock is a peach and the quality seemed top notch. My mate was so impressed that he came home and ordered one! I will say that I'm now also in the market for a used X-Bolt after trying the action etc but can't stretch to a new one sadly. The reviews are overwhelmingly positive too. Don't see why the X-Bolt doesn't get more of a market share TBH.
