  1. Modern Britain where bureaucracy, feelings, diversity, or even getting bums on seats is more important than ability, or even, it would appear, defending the realm.
  2. Not at all, but even hiring someone with a dog if unlicensed could land you and the other person in serious trouble if it all went wrong, the fact there's squatter activity makes it even worse, if they claim it's their lawful residence after receiving a serious bite. I was simply pointing out how messy the situation could be if not done lawfully, as I wouldn't want to see someone get themselves into trouble. Fargos response didn't on the face of it appear to be from a legitimate security company and read more as a person with a nasty dog, that he stated you could have, which you pm'd him, so how else was anyone supposed to view that? Either way, do what you want 👍
  3. I get why you feel like you do, there are many areas of law most people don't agree with, but all a judge will care about when sentencing is that the law is applied. At the end of the day, what you do is your choice and any consequences for you to justify 👍
  4. How do you know? Fargo said his dog is a very nasty German Shepherd, if it bites someone, intentionally or not, your going to be in trouble, particularly with the premeditated element of wanting it for the purpose of being a guard dog. I've got to be honest, the idea is so ludicrous, I assumed Fargo was being sarcastic, offering the use of his dog. The days of the scrap yard gaurd dog roaming around on its own is long gone and unfortunately, even burglars have rights.
  5. An over populated, less tolerant and very diverse society certainly doesn't help keep country persuits alive, as it has led to many new laws and less space and tolerance to go around. I also think as times naturally change, the traditions of some of these sports don't keep up, as I discussed with another member on this thread earlier, hunting fox with hounds was certainly one that is no longer necessary, outdated, deemed cruel by the wider public and in my opinion im glad it is no longer legal, as all it did was tarnish the sport of shooting and its reputation.
  6. Liability. if you use an aggressive dog, or any dog for that matter and your not licensed to and it then bites someone, your going to be in a world of trouble.
  7. No worries, like I said, if you want to discuss it further, feel free to start a new topic or pm me 👍
  8. The truth in this case really doesn't hurt, we'll at least not me anyway! You I'm not so sure. And your right I did, but the hunts were already banned and the countryside is a better place for it. Perhaps if they hadn't gone around damaging people's property and abusing land owners, they would still be able to do it.
  9. Reform are now on 14% compared to the Tories 20% in latest polling. Interesting election ahead.
  10. So what beaches do single people go to, single beaches? Someone's a little upset, funny how you agree with the hunts who trample all over others private land, yet want dogs banned from public beaches. Before we derail a thread, if you'd like to discuss it further, feel free to pm me or start a new thread.
  11. A family beach! What's one of them then?
  12. Its not my reform? I would suggest if reform do well at this election, it will force the Tories to drastically change the party to win back support. either way, obviously there's more chance of change voting for reform, than voting for the same two parties, that would be voting for no change.
  13. Maybe, maybe not, you can garantee your statement is correct if you don't vote for change. Voting a new party is very likely to make changes, even if it's only in roads and indirectly forcing the larger partys to make concessions, providing reform get enough support, or win, which I conced is unlikely on their first go. Either way there's nothing to loose, the tories aren't beating Labour this time anyway.
  14. So everyone gets tared with the same brush for the minority of bad owners? Always makes me laugh when shooters want others enjoyment stopped and fail to see the hypocracy of their position.
  15. I'm going to say airarms prosport out of the springers I've shot. I've owned weihrauchs, theoben slr (gas strut), bsas and a few more, I recently acquired a pro sport and while there's obviously still recoil, it's super smooth with a lovely trigger, it was absolutely mint and I'm assuming someone has done a bit of tuning as I've owned a tuned hw97 and a tx200, but it's even smoother and a beautiful trigger to.
  16. And it's this sort of nonsense people are fed up of and why a vote for the tories is a wasted vote, it would be a vote for more of the status quo.
  17. Reform will be getting my vote and most I know are planning to do the same. Not only for the illegal immigration issue, but just because of being fed up with the nonsense in politics, like trump says in the USA, it's high time the UK put itself first. We also need a party that will look after the working masses, the average man or woman, neither Labour or the Conservatives can be trusted to do that.
  18. I remember watching the channel 4 documentary, what "British Muslims really think", I was really shocked at some of the results, while obviously the majority of Muslims are normal decent people, just like any other British citizen, I was shocked at the apparent percentage of Muslims who held some really extreme views. If our political parties and government institutions continue to bury their head in the sand, instead of tackling the issues within that community, I worry where this country is going to end up, as the issues will come from both sides of the extreme, both radical Islam as the extremist are emboldened from not being tackled and the extremists within the far right, that will spread as the easily misled become fed up of the establishments blinkers and turn to those who claim they have the answer.
  19. I think the general population has had enough and I think the old trick of burying their head in the sand while pulling out 'the card' isn't going to wash much longer in shutting down necessary debates.
  20. You are of course correct, but I think the moral point of his argument is valid. He's paid in to the system all his life and now it's right that the system looks after him.
  21. All this shows is what a shambles our political system is and what a shambles this once Great country has become. We need a complete change, get rid of Labour and the Cons, they're virtually a uni party on most issues anyway, we need some common sense leadership back at the helm.
  22. Yes I'm sure you do. I'm not sure what your point is?
  23. Your comment went over my head, I didn't read it as a joke, the joys of speaking via Internet 👍 I already do via the serious amount of tax I pay 👌
  24. If your lucky, you may find yourself a pensioner one day, I wonder if you'll be so flippent then. Pensioners are vulnerable, if inflation causes them to find their living expenses unaffordable, or them needing care or help in the home due to the lack of government assistance, due to underfunding, they can't simply go back to work to make more money. When we as a country can pay billions for illegal immigrants, we should be looking after our pensioners.
