  1. I got the maximum your allowed for the feed in tariff, which is 16 panels (2 rows of 8) total input of 4Kw. You need 8mts of roof space to fit 16 panels
  2. Free panels = No feed in tariff I had panels fitted this year, cost around £5500 no problems at all. Had a nice payment of £250 for the first quarter I was feeding in. Add the electric that I'm not paying for due to generating it... happy days. Panels will pay for themselves in 5 years, then after that, its all profit. Better investment than any ISA.... You get in the region of 14.38p per unit for 100% of what you generate then an additional 4.77p for 50% of what you generate. Just after I had mine fitted, they brought out a skeleton frame system that allows the panels to sit flush with your tiles, looks well better but is a £500 extra.... Advise anyone with the money to do it
  3. You wont go far wrong talking to these guys https://www.cctv42.co.uk/. Great before and after-sales service
  4. Have you looked at the Armsan A612s? Some really good reviews on it. I have one, only shot with it once, but certainly does the job on a budget £459 New from Macavoys.
  5. Recently bought the A612s £459 brand new. Nice gun. I find it shoots a bit low, so I'll be trying to fix that next time out. I've only bought it so I don't have to take my new OU out in the rain.... and a friend has asked me to do some pigeon shooting... well that's my excuse anyway
  6. Sadly not. Gave them my PD of 68mm. After a few hours of wearing them around the house, they made me feel a bit disorientated and my eyes ached. Took them to specsavers, they said they could only get a measurement of 62mm. I took them for a second opinion to a more specialised optician, and they could only get a maximum of 64mm. Needless to say that when I returned them, they got a reading of 66mm, still 2mm out
  7. I thought they would be great but much prefer contacts and a wraparound. I know he is not in Lancs, but Ed Lyons is the one to get in touch with, he spent quite a bit of time helping me out, great guy. There are a few options out there. Randolph sports do a very nice set XLW, which I'm sure Ed would be more than happy to send a sample pair out. These what I call the 'double lens' type, prescription lens sits behind the actual shield. The prescription part of the frame can be taken to specsavers and done by them if you wish. The Zeiss frames are also quite good and a single lens, I just didn't get on with them due to the prescription side being incorrect from the beginning. If you want a wrapaorund, you will not find one with a single lens. You can find Ed on the Shoot Clay forum or PM me for his direct email Gary
  8. Definitely not correct. Pupil distance is VERY important. If its where I think you have bought them from, I've just returned mine for a refund. My PD was some 3mm out and made me feel sick wearing them. The average PD is around the 62-64mm range and a move of 1mm +/- is not usually noticed. I am certainly no expert, found this out the hard way....Don't forget your buying Ziess frames not lenses. Good luck with yours, hope they are ok
  9. Think that's a bit harsh..... Iv'e only been shooting for 6 months, and granted I've only been to Kelbrook and Worsley, but I think Worsley is fine. Due to other weekend commitments, I go on a Wednesday evening and find it great. Staff are friendly and the 3 ground staff lads are always around asking how the traps are. £25 for 110 clays and a free 100 after 10 visits. I've heard it gets a bit hectic at weekends with stag parties but most of these are around the 6 practise stands. Maybe once I've travelled around a bit I may see why you think its soo bad....
  10. Great prices on the Fiocchi's by the way
  11. I don't bother going to Worsley on a Saturday for this very reason. I now go on a Wednesday evening with my lad. Nice and quiet and no mobs....
  12. +1 Exactly what I have
  13. Justbought my first semi,Benelli M2 Essential, love it. Cycles my Fiocchi 28g 67mm shells flawlessly
  14. SGC just landed......time to spend, spend, spend
  15. Not too far at all, just over the other side of the Beacon
  16. Close to getting my SGC, and that's the first gun am looking at. £770 and 3 year warranty, sounds a real good deal. My 2nd choice would be a 2nd hand Browning 525 for around the £900 mark.
  17. Anyone made a batch of this yet? There are a few you tube vids about it. HERE fast forward to 21:45 Automatic cleaning fluid (dex 3) Mineral Spirits (White Spirit) Kerocene - Deoderised (Paraffin ?) Acetone
  18. I'm in the same position as you Chavez. I have been looking at the Franchi Alcione. Think Baretta own them "The Alcione One is available in 12GA / 20GA 28" & 30" M/C with 3" chambers and superior steel shot proof. The nickel plated steel receiver is tastefully decorated and the selected walnut has a matt oil finish. A single selective gold-washed trigger and auto-safety complete the package. 3 Year Manufacturer's Warranty. Delivered in ABS Case complete with five chokes, choke key & oil" All for £770 New Seems a hard to resist for a first time gun, if it fits that is......yet 'am still in 2 minds........
  19. Other than my intro, this is my first post. I agree with Mr Potter. Am sure you must have been to Manchester Clay Shooting Club? It was the layout, variety and the picturesque setting that really got me feeling comfortable at the shoot and more importantly got me into the sport.
  20. Hi All Brand new shooter from just outside Wigan. Not really a pigeon/game shooter, I'm more of a clays guy, that being said, I haven't tried it yet..... Took my 16 year old son to MCSC just before Christmas for a "have a go" lesson. We came away in love with the sport. We are just at the end of a couples pre shotgun certificate course and eagerly waiting for my SGC to hopefully land on my door matt. Look forward to chatting to you all when I don't sound like a complete novice
