  1. I bought a Revo pump and could shoot quite well with it - but after 300 carts the plastic trigger unit shattered. Took it back to southern counties who gave me a credit note that I used to buy an SXP - very happy with the winchester but I need to increase the lop a little. Any ideas where I can buy a spacer ?
  2. Part of the opening sentence - "conservatives are talking about another recession" caught my eye as possibly being open to an alternative point of view. Hence my comment. The rest of your post is bang on, it's unlikley to be a possible coincidence, considering the Rochdale election AND the forthcoming budget reviews. The title of the post kinda also influenced my comment
  3. We (the UK) haven't really been out of recession for 5 odd years now. How can we be with 0.5% "emergency" interest rates and £375 billion of printed money ? Once rates do eventually start to return toward normal and we make an effort to unwind the QE "funny money" I might believe a genuine recovery is actually upon us. Until then it's just one spin after another accompanied by figure massaging and the usual smoke and mirrors games. Unfortunatley with Public borrowing still expanding its hard to see how the government is ever going to be able to unwind this mess. Certainly the mainstream parties havnt the balls to tackle it. Next year we are likely to see an outside political party gain some considerable influence. Can they start things moving in the right direction ? I hope so but am sceptical.

    Gatgun

http://mikethegun.co.uk/gat-gun-pistol-boxed-new-177cal/ Brings back memories of childhood lust for me.... They used to sell these in my local newspaper and sweet shop. Every time I went in I would gaze longingly at them on a high shelf. £9.95 was always a fantasy number though :(

    Gatgun

New member Mikethegun I think has one or two of these still in original boxes. I guess they will become quiet collectable as our generation ages !
  6. I bought a new maxus recently, the first evening I stripped and cleaned it and was surprised to find the magazine plug comes out if you just turn it 45 degrees with any old key. The result with it removed was it will allow 1 in the chamber and another 3 in the magazine, making it a 4 shot (using 70mm carts) Needless to say I have replaced the plug and will not remove it again.
  7. The man is stubborn, argumentative and highly competitive. I've never watched the show but I will now if he's on it. Might make it interesting.
  8. Can I have the Teague half and three quater extended please
  9. To update my above comment ITS BROKEN ALREADY ! 4th TIME OUT Sadly part of the plastic trigger assembly moulding disintegrated for no apparent reason. Well perhaps the reason is very apparent - not strongly made. So now I will find out how the 1 year warranty stacks up...
  10. I have been using a Revo Field pump action for my last 3 sessions on clays. Seems to work quiet well once you get used to cycling it after every shot. I hit as many clays as with anything else I have tried. As for the build quality - it seems a bargain for £250 but no idea if it will last. I am sure it's not a "gun for life" but then there is very little to go wrong inside that can't be fixed. Assuming parts remain available.....
  11. Hw100 - so very accurate and extremely well made. Yes it's a bit heavy but otherwise a fantastic bit of kit
  12. It's should not only be about what is legal but about what is safe, the op has had a lucky escape from serious injury and no doubt has learned valuable lessons in self preservation. The law says he's not in the wrong, common sense will now no doubt kick in and I would almost be certain his senses will be heightened and his caution elevated when he is legally filtering in future... He was not in the wrong just unprepared for the possibilities of another's lack of thought. He is now very much aware of the need to stay safe during this type of manover and the car driver and passenger are now also hopefully educated. Just because it's legal to do 60 mph on an A road going around a 100 degree bend doesn't mean it's safe to do so. That's the point - the op did something unsafe but not illegal and has no doubt suffered and learned. Because it wasn't illegal the car drivers insurance pay and to my mind that's correct. All parties will have learned from this.
  13. I had one of these with 120k on the clock and it still ran as smooth as a sewing machine. They are suberb as a commuter or "semi sports" tourer. Good luck with your sale
  14. No problem Medic1281, the 3-9x50 is yours
  15. Forgot to mention one of them is a 3-9x50, it cost me an extra £20. Available at £165 posted
  16. I still have a few spare if anybody is interested please pm me
  17. Glad to hear your recovered. As an ex bike instructor I have only one piece of advice - the same advice I used to try and drum into every student... "always assume you haven't been seen - no matter what the "rules" of the road may be - assume everyone around you is an idiot living in their own little bubble" It's the only way to safe out there, I have known some dreadful and permanent injuries caused by just this sort of incident. Pleased to read you weren't one of them. This time any road. Stay safe and enjoy your bike
  18. Price Reduced - £80 anyone ?
  19. New and unused in box - £95 delivered. The supplied adjustable mount is for 1" scope tube. I also have a 30mm adjustable mount if required, again new, for £10.
  20. Breathing difficulties are common but lovely natured dogs and most entertaining - in a pig ugly sort of way
  21. HOLY CARP ! Now that's a dangerous fault, I think I would have messed my pants if that happened to me - then following a shower and clean up I would have made it my mission to see heads roll. Not literally you understand, but the point is someone without good gun handling practice could have blown off their own foot - or worse.
