  1. watching the advert for it somehow I don't think it will be singing the praises of the Second Amendment. Black rifles. Guy at range giving black rifle a burst.Mother taking kids into gunshop,Man looking lovingly at his rifle as he cleans it, kids taken to the shooting range. Kids jumping at sound of gunshot at shooting range, guy holding baby as he's buying a gun. It will be as biased as it can possibly be.
  2. Sales Advisor in an insurance broker
  3. As above, recently bought one and hope to be picking it up soon Took a shine to it being a side lever, just as something a wee bit different. but know exactly zero about them. It's actually my first venture into airguns, usually I'm out with my CZ 452 or 12G side by side. Fancied something for a bit of plinking or the odd rat or two Felt like a well put together bit of kit but my god it's heavy! Just wanted to know what you fine bunch thought of them. Cheers!
  4. Haha, apologies! My dad has learned to like it but it's one I'll never get along with, have tried it several times since and the end result is the same. One I forgot to mention was Bowmore darkest 15. It's rightly up there along with my favourites
  5. Just really starting out with my whiskies but top three personal favourites are Bushmills 1608. Bushmills 12 y/o distillery reserve and Glenfiddich 18y/o A friend had a bottle of Yamazaki, unsure of the year but was very nicely surprised with it, lovely stuff. On the other hand I will never get used to Laphroaig, too much of an antiseptic taste/smell for me
  6. I have an Aya Yeoman with the beavertail forend and pistol grip and it will never be sold, I absolutely love it. A bit heavy maybe on a long day but I shoot better with it than anything else.
  7. Leona lewis cover of Snow Patrol- Run... one of my favourite songs ever, ruined. Heard a dance remix of Sweet Child O'Mine once.. and once was enough
  8. Love it! I'm a bit of a Disturbed fan anyway, good to hear them take a bit more of a chilled route, powerful voice though!
  9. Any further info on this?.All I can see on social media are comments of SACS in financial difficulty, the occasional threat of legal action and SACS refusing to issue any statement regarding this matter I understand if legal action is being carried out SACS are going by the advice of their legal team and what can be said is limited. However, I think their loyal paying members have a right to an explaination to what's actually going on and deserve some professionalism from SACS I am sure i'm not the only one with dwindling faith in them at the moment My membership is due for renewal next month. Will I be staying with SACS?.. Maybe not
  10. Currently have a 4-12x50 AO with parallax adjustment on my rimfire, it does a grand job for bunnies but I'm thinking of a change. Is there any advantage in a variable mag scope over a fixed mag one (vice versa) or just down to personal preference? What's got me thinking is I've yet to shoot anything using the full 12x mag. So thinking do I really need it.
  11. Got a cheapy swivel bipod on my rimfire got for the total of 20quid posted... What can i say really..Holds the stock just as well as my mates Harris does....a bit heavier maybe. But I'd rather have a heavier wallet than a lighter bipod!
  12. crackin work. really nice looking gun that. like it a lot!
  13. I bought a box of .22 eley clubs to try, mainly use winchester but thought id give them a go. Grouped really nicely, better than winchesters. Something I only noticed when I was loading up the second magazine was that the bullet heads were slightly loose in the casings and switched back to winnies for the rest of the time. I can turn them slightly, they dont "wobble" and I can't pull them out of the casings, but are these ok to use? Forgive the ignorance but this is something I've never experienced with any other brand.
  14. its just a lottery. a friend, my dad and myself all applied for our FACs at the same time.. my dad waited 5 weeks.. mine was 7 weeks.. my friends was close to 12.. sent away to get the shotgun added.. mine took two weeks... my dads took about 5..
  15. That's the description I was searching for!..bit like my old aya sxs.. something about the old work horses, have a charm about them.never was a fan of range queens n the like anyway... some "tacticool" ruger 10/22s ive seen. ugly as sin!.. or "tacticool" anything come to think of it!
  16. will have the feeling im alone on this one but never though my baikal o/u was ugly when i had it.... not beautiful by any stretch. but it had a certain charm about it... will always prefer a sxs though!
  17. which company is that BangBangNik?? sorry should have been clearer. mine are specified on home ins policy. but the company has restricted cover to theft at home from locked cabinet only
  18. this has probably been done to death. but does anyone know of any companies that offer gun insurance. not so much the liability insurance as I have that sorted already. but cover for the gun itself while in use etc. My home insurance covers them from theft while at home in the cabinet. but thats it. Any suggestions welcome
  19. best bet is send this as an email to firearms branch mate. then youre sure what your told is right. firearms@psni.pnn.police.uk

    nvuk

Anyone bought any nightvision kits from nvuk via their Facebook page? Money is something I don't have much of at the minute and they can build an nv set up which, combined with a t20 IR illuminator is effective to 100-150 yds I've been told. Anyone any experience of them?
  22. Tacticalscope.Co.UK is where I got mine. Clulite 125. Nothing spectacular but it does well for rabbit on my .22lr and was around the 50 quid mark with articulated mount.battery+ charger and tail switch included

    12G Hammer Gun

As above. Looking for a 12G hammer gun. All makes considered. Probably a long shot but max of about £300
  24. Should have mentioned I have FAC. An FAC covers everything here in NI. Just thought there may be an issue with ammunition saying as I wouldnt technically have a .410 on my cert. Anyway. You say youve owned adapters, are they worth it? Or would buying a 410 be the better option?
  25. Firstly, please excuse my ignorance as this is probably a basic question. I was thinking of buying a .410 when a friend suggested buying 12G to .410 adapters for the shotgun I have already. Again please excuse the ignorance but if I bought an adapter, would it need to go down on my cert? In the same way my moderator for my .22LR needs to be?. If not would I not then be buying ammunition for a calibre which is not on my cert? If that makes sense at all. Any clarification much appreciated!
