Reloading suppliers
charlie-hunter replied to charlie-hunter's topic in Bullets, Cartridges and Reloading
Wanting to get some different powders to try. Prefer to deal with people than over Internet. Rugby was great, good win 46-0...had a few too many beers afterwards. Does Adam stock shotshell supplies John? -
Does anyone know where sells SHOTSHELL reloading supplies in or near Northumberland? Cheers Leon.

Pacific DL-155 needs a part
charlie-hunter replied to pinfireman's topic in Bullets, Cartridges and Reloading
I made one as I snapped the original trying to straighten after something fell on it. But obviously I had the part to copy. Unfortunately I think I binned the original as I could have sent you it. -

Thanks for the input Cookoff, I will be increasing the loads as I gain more experience and knowledge of shotshell loading. -

Cheers S. I. H. Im using CCI 209 primers. Will try other hulls, do primers make as much difference as they do in rifle reloading? -
Blowing out primers

Hi Cookoff, only powder I could get at the moment. Only just starting so still learning. -
Just started to load shotshell cartridges. To start with I have been loading 30gm loads with green dot. Using Hull cartridge hulls everything worked fine. But loading Eley first hulls the primers blew out. Is this common for certain hulls and which hulls are best to reload?

Yeah iain is still going, he's always got a good stock of reloading supplies.

It's a 12gauge. Got it for £110 including the beam scale.

Hi lads, was on eBay after a few beers last night and am trying to convince myself I haven't dropped a boo boo. So I just bought a brand new mark 5 mec off ebay, waiting for delivery. Think I got it at a good price as it comes with a rcbs 505 beam scale as well. How are they? I know they are popular in the states, just wondering how the are rated over here. Cheers

I'm surprised you can see your target marks, they are tiny. Try drawing some diamond shapes and the corners intersect with the Crosshairs. My Rem would not shoot 55gr vmax as well as Sierra blitzkings at the same weight and would shoot 50gr and 40g brilliantly. All down to the length. 55gr was with 36.5gr of tr140 which is very similar but I find slightly more powder than viht N140. Having my barrel shortened at the moment so will have to see if the harmonics have changed when I get it back.
