There are markings on the barrel, you might have to take it apart to see them. Sometimes it clearly says in lettering “proofed for steel shot”, others will have a small fleur-de-lys symbol alongside the other marks (various other proof marks and numbers like 12-76 showing its 12 bore and 76mm chambers).

Is it proofed for steel shot being 2005? Sorry if this is obvious, I’ve only had much older and much newer guns

What length chambers and also length of pull? I pretty much drive past Rushden every day so am interested if it's the right gun for me. If you can email me pictures or text them I'd like to see it first too.

It's ok, I was looking out for a really short barrel version for a mate and he wanted 16" or less and synthetic / nickel

Exactly what I've got - 452 synthetic 22LR, 452 wood varmint barrel 17HMR and 527 wood .223. All spot on, more accurate than I shoot and really good value for money. I'd still buy a Blaser R8 if I had the cash and a slot for a bigger calibre but the CZ's are spot on for smaller calibres and vermin work.

Really good scopes, got one on my 22LR and the quality and low light performance is much better than the price tag would suggest. Almost tempted myself, good luck with the sale.
