  1. Has anyone here built or used one of the Hybrid boats that are a selfbuild boat from the USA Some of the models available look suitable for use in our tidal/marsh areas . http://www.hybridduckboat.com/files/index.php?id=23 Here is a link

I have made some foam decoys from info i got from this site, they weigh about a third of the weight of plastic shop bought decoys, so it is much easier to carry them out to your shooting spot. I use mine in tidal waters and i get quite a buzz when ducks fly in and land in with the decoys. http://workingdecoys.net/workingdecoysforum/index.php?board=4.0

I find that if they are used on STILL water they are ok but if any wind gets up they are useless
  4. Sometimes with one of my O/U guns if i use a light load when shooting clays the recoil is not hard enough to cock the second barrel, going to a heavier load sorts this out
  5. Stormsure cures to a strong flexible patch, i had some mice that eat a hole in my waders the hole was about an inch long by half an inch wide. I fixed it by putting some masking tape as a backer on the inside of the waders and then just applied the storm sure as a puddle to cover the hole i gave it 3 layers, i am sure the repair will outlast the waders. I also know of some farming guys that have used stormsure the repair holes in chemical crop spraying tanks and it does the job. If you do get some make sure that when you have used the tube and there is some left in it store it in the freezer because it starts to cure when you break the seal on the tube, if you store it in the cupboard you will come back to a solid tube of rubber
  6. The reviews of them are not very good , where are they leaking you might be able to fix them with stormsure, i used it to fix leaks in any waders i have had.
  7. Cracking pictures and a real beauty of a dog
  8. That's a beauty any Teal we have managed to get this year have all been hens, i have been hoping to get a cock bird for the feathers for flytying
  9. To the op, if you are intent on using ounce loads, I was going to use the 1oz loads mainly for sons gun, he is using an AYA No3 with 70mm chambers, i was hoping the powershot would give him a better chance at nailing the occasional goose if one comes close enough.
  10. This is the manual the recipe came from http://www.claygame.co.uk/bpi-cheddite-manual-pd266 Just noticed mine is the 1st edition, claygame are now selling the 2nd edition maybe there are more 10 bore loads in the newer one
  11. There is HS6 data in the cheddite book but it is only for ITX10 and not steelshot Let me know if you want it
  12. I have just got an Arkom O/U gun it has 70mm chambers it is proofed to 1200kg, this seems to be high level of proof, my AYA No 3 is only proofed to 900kg, any ideas why the big difference in proof strength.
  13. The loads is for ITX Extreme 13 and is from the cheddite book Case: 2.75 cheddite Primer cx2000, Powder Longshot 34.5 gr , Wad B&P24, 1/4" Felt in base, Shot 437 gr HW13 NO4, PSI 10600, 1520FPS I have all the components for this load i was just wondering what size shot would be best for foreshore geese
  14. I just picked the 1oz because there is a load for that in the Cheddlte load book, it is with the B&P24 wad . I have never loaded this stuff before and i am just trying figure out how to go about it. If you have a 12bore 2.75" load that you could let me know about that would be a great help
  15. I want to load some 12bore 1 oz loads in powershot for geese, what would be the best shot size to get? its expensive stuff and i dont want the wrong size
  16. I have a pair of the Sealskinz fingerless mitts, the mitt part and the thumbs fold back for shooting with, and they also have 2 loops that allow you to get the mitts off in a hurry when needed. I have also stuck some of these https://www.ellis-brigham.com/products/little-hotties-toe-warmers--pair/668052?itemid=36820&gclid=Cj0KEQjwqfvABRC6gJ3T_4mwspoBEiQAyoQPkYIRP-7IuFwM1R8nXQNKkG_SChJ1HaWoMtdZsydHSO4aAsXs8P8HAQ into the mitt part of the glove that way you have heated gloves. They are not the cheapest of gloves but they are pretty good so far
  17. This is a review i would like to see as well, i have always liked hammer guns
  18. Iv'e got a Cabelas peaked cap with sewn in balaclava, and i have just started to wear a face mask repurposed from a swiss army sniper hood, so far it seems pretty good

  20. The Cheddite loading book has lots of loads for Longshot powder for steel shot. ITX10 shot , ITX 13 shot if you want the details PM me
  21. There are some steel loads on the BPS page for 10 bores using the MM1035 wad, i dont have any of these wads could i use SAM 1 10 bore wads instead? The powders i have are Longshot, HS6, Steel and Bluedot i would like to do some fast light'ish loads for Duck.
  22. Dont worry i will be getting it done by a time served gunsmith, every man to his own job
  23. I have a Gaep crimp finisher can i use this for doing RTO finishes on my reloads or do have to put my hand in my pocket and splash out on an RTO tool?
  24. I forgot all about him, my dad used deal with his father Bobby in the 70's i will give him a call tomorrow, thanks
  25. I contacted the Ayrshire shooting ground they could do it for £60 from full to half, we could also combine the trip with some practice on the clays on their sporting layout so it sounds like a plan
