  2. if its a new build and going into breeze blocks use chemical anchors or when you tighten the bolts up the block will give in and crumble. Also my cabinet from machine mart only has 2 wall fixings and passed inspection
  3. Just seen this on another forum looks like Guntrader folded and been reset up under a different company name. With the same directors. Presume trying to avoid any possible GDPR fines or compensation claims. https://www.facebook.com/103562249732537/posts/4444808968941155/?sfnsn=scwspmo
  4. Did it smooth out over time just got fq bobcat. Very similar built . Oiled and Cycled it a few hundred times and it's smoothed up but tried it with dummy cartidges and it's stiff with a cartridge in. Do you recon it will smooth out over time

  6. Certs turned up today. 50 weeks from application. And they forgot to put an ammo allowance on so got to go back tomorrow to pick up new certs
  7. I emailed them again and got an reply saying licences will be hand delivered next thursday 50 weeks in total from application to recieving certs. New applicants are being quoted 13 months for applications now.
  8. 18 weeks would have brilliant been waiting 49 weeks since they got my application. And 9 weeks since my interview
  9. Good news. I'm still waiting for the certs to be signed and posted.
  10. I got 1500 on grant and he didnt question it. My reasoning was bulk price at a 1000 and then i can reorder when i get below 500
  11. Good news things are moving on at last. I'm 5 weeks in waiting for them to post the certificates.
  12. I've been waiting a month from my visit really hope i don't have to wait another 3 months
  13. Ive just done mine.. New breeze blocks are soft and crumbley. Tried 3 times with different sizes and type of anchors non worked, the anchors just spun as they tightened. Just get some 10mm threaded bar. Cut to length. Remove a section of skirting line up on plaster board. Mark holes drill 11 to 12 mm hole through plaster board and about 3 inch into the breeze block. Fill with resin and screw bolt into resin. Leave to set for an hour and then bolt safe to wall. Did mine and wall will fall down before bolts pull out
  14. Cheers for the advice used the chemical resin and it worked perfectly, safe is installed and very solid. Recon the ****ty wall will break away before the bolts pull out.
  15. Cheers everyone I'll give it a go tomorrow.
  16. That's the one I've got. Main problem is the 16mm hole needed for original anchors and I have 10mm bar. Thought of using a M10 bolt backwards as the bolt head is 16mm and tits snug in the hole.
  17. Just tried to fit me safe to breeze block wall. First fittings that came with the safe were no good. Used some bigger anchors but the block just crumbles just before they fully tighten then they spin and pull out. Has anyone used chemical resin before. Was thinking on putting some in the hole then pushing a bolt in so the thread sticks out then filling again up the threaded part and taping it so it stays straight. Do you think this would hold. Or any other ideas
  18. Finally got me interview on Tuesday for fac. Applied in August.
  19. Great news. I've got my visit next Tuesday. What sort of questions did they ask. Trying to decide whether to gamble on buying a safe now to speed things up or wait for the visit first.
  20. Been to the fishing shop facing for years and spent hours parked outside never seen any trouble. He was unlucky he moved and was targeted by thieves. Another gun shop in Sheffield was robbed the previous year. Parkings a lot better at the new shop and the rent and rates will be much lower at the new shop. I'll be popping in after the 12th when he opens
  21. Got a phone call today about my application sending out medical form tomorrow and they have contacted my references. So looks like there back at work now
