groach1234
I got my hmr today and went for the sak mod due to the over all cost of the outing but the guy said i should get the whisper the question is are they worth the hundred odd quid more than a sak? £120 he said it was (seemed a BIT steep to me ) and anyway are they worth it is christmas is coming George
George1990
http://www.shootinguk.co.uk/guns/rifles/38...rs_review_.html Have a look here. Whisper doesn't do that well to be honest. My dad has a .22 one, and when I put my Sirocco on it, it was better than the whisper! Whisper probably last better though. Sirocco is the Edgar Bro's SM11 Edited October 7, 2009 by George1990
rimfire4969
I changed my Sak for a Wildcat Whisper. I think it is a lot better and does make a differance. Worth the extra money depends if you can afford it or not. If you don't have money the Sak will do the job with no problems, if you have the money the Whisper does it better. Frenchieboy
I can't comment on a moderator for a hmr but what I will say is that the SAK worked perfectly well on my .22lr, in fact being a semi auto the recycling mechanism made more noise than the actual shot. The only reason I changed it for a Parker Hale is that the SAK had to be removed and refitted every time I wanted to reload the tubular magazine. Alpha Mule
Slight hijack: Could a 'Weihrauch Silencer - Push-On Style' originally on an air rifle be fitted to a powder burner? It's bloody good on the Airmagnum!
