Are these guns and good. I have seen a 12 Remmy 1100 in my local gun shot today its a black synthetic one which has a good price tag on it. I am considering getting one but would like to know if anyone on here has got one and that they think of it, do they cycle well, and are they easy to clean ect.., Cheers RIZZINI

I have a 1970s 1100 - brilliant gun , built like a tank , not amo fussy, like a mechanno kit to take apart and easy and cheap to get bits ( especially if you get them in the states online)

I put some pastic 'ramline' woodwork on mine and picked up a multichoke barrel in the states and gave it a new lease of life.

My gun is only 2 3/4 chambered but with mini mag amo its as good as any 3" chambered goose gun.

millions of rednecks cant be wrong!

What kind of jam are you getting ?

Does the empty case get ejected or is it still in the gun ?

Does the empty case get ejected & the new cartridge get stuck on the carrier or simply fail to chamber properly.

Does the gun have an "easy loader" fitted to it ?

Most remington jams or failure's to cycle are caused by simple things but can be difficult to find if you do not understand how the gun works, Im assuming you have assembled the gas rings in the correct order & also the rubber seal ring is in perfect condition.

A worn interceptor latch post is the most common failing on older 1100/1187s & causes "timing" issues as it controls when the next shell is released from the magazine, the good news is there are many parts available & are not that expensive.
