MC
Exactly why pay more? You will find out should you ever have legal issues or need some advice on firearms. Come to think of it, you will find out if ever you have to ring them at all. I would rather pay the difference and have an organisation that will back shooting instead of sell it down the river and put nothing back.

Piebob
Why pay BASC £64 when u can get same insurance cover from the CPSA for £31 To protect my sport, which is primarily game shooting, but also pigeons and rabbits and occasionally, if I'm lucky enough, big red things. I'm not aware that the CPSA is interested in any of the above? You can get insurance cover for a lot less than £31 if that's all you want.

Highlander
Love it...there’s one what, every week? If your passion is live quarry shooting you should have no questions. Support BASC and support your sport. The insurance is only a very small part of what you get from BASC. They might not always get it right BUT they are 100% behind country sports. If your passion is clay pigeons then CPSA is probably your best bet. I won’t go into my thoughts about dedicated clay pigeon shooters on game shoots (unless someone really wants to hear them). Only remember this...if live quarry shooting ever does get banned you can bet your bottom dollar CPSA won’t be shedding any tears over it! Some cynics might even say they agreed with it (a ban that is). Personally I think if you’re not prepared to support your sport to the tune of £64 a year then you’d best take up golf! i.e. we don't need you! Harnser
Blackbird , Its a good thing that we all dont think like you do and have your logic . We pay BASC our subs each year because BASC supports shooting and protects it from the fools like you who carnt see any further than the end of their noses . ITS NOT JUST ABOUT INSURANCE ,OR CARNT YOU SEE IT ? Harnser .
