missedagain Posted December 24, 2010 Report Share Posted December 24, 2010 Late in getting out - queued for more than an hour to get free range chicken for xmas day - but ended up with 30+ in about 2 hours over Kale - started well - first 10 pigeons for 11 cartridges - then started getting cocky and average fell away. loads of birds about - but pushing the birds to the other kale fields - too much snow for them to move on to rape ... Monday could be a big day - 2 of us going out early so hopefully ... Birds are losing condition though - some sharpish breast bones appearing. One thing - snow blindness - definately affects them - a couple of birds almost landed on me when I was out in the open - but the sun was behind me as they came in towards me from the east..
