Went out yesterday evening to see if the Mother-i-l was ok,and the state of the road was shocking. Its quite a busy road but its obviously way down on the priority list.Took a video of it and also with the wee man on the sledge and quad.

ours are fine packed snow but no traffic so easy, all been cleared and I'm starting to wonder if its not easier driving on the un gritted roads than the ones where it was gritted went to slush and then ice. My work commute took the same time as usual taking the back roads simply because of the lack of queing

Spot on with the untreated road being easier. We were -9 for a while last night, and the gritted roads are lethal in the morning whereas the snow is way more grippier.Damned if they do and damned if they dont really.

Main routes are ok but side roads are bad, WE have run out of grit here apparently so no gritting at the moment and my road has not been gritted at all.

None of my neighbours can get out, one almost did in a Volvo Cross Country, would have if they had stopped spinning the wheels.

At least the kids and dogs are enjoying the weather....lolol

Had a early start this morning so was not looking forward to it one bit.

The A12 was a nightmare but everyone was being careful . Dont think i got pass 10mph.

One of my clients road was just ice. Am back their this evening  . So fingers cross.

The back roads are fine . And i must admit it has got me wondering about the griting

Boys school is shut again today. But i had to go pass it to get to a job and the roads to it are all clear. :good:

Our backroads are all much and such as the clip, and cars wouldnt have a chance of making them.To make things clearer yesterday, they just closed every school in Aberdeenshire to save any confusion. The kids are the happiest ones the now,but hopefully this seasonal weather means we will see a decent summer.

Thats a heck load of snow!!! :good:

We've been quite lucky so far and only really had a very light dusting of snow here in Cambridgeshire.Even the news reader on local radio yesterday joked that there must be a giant electric blanket underground because all the other counties surrounding us have gotten it bad.
