Thanks Mag You might find they are one and the same, some dealers add the length of the mod and some don't to make them sound shorter than they really are. Dave66
As said, I think they all start as just over 24, the moderator adds the other 8 inches on the end. I have a Baikal single which I think is quieter, out with a mate today who has a .410 Mossberg, and another who bought a 20 bore Mossberg hushpower at Christmas. The 20 bore was hard work to swing it on clays , front end heavy, still quiet though, I think the .410 Mossberg is probably the best all round compromise, but being a tight *** I will stick with my single Baikal Cheers Dave

tosspot
Thanks  do you find it shoots high? Not that i've noticed no, had single barrel Hushpower for a while before this one so maybe have subconciously compensated, what it does do is swing itself, with all that added length an all one word of warning, the pump action is connected up via two rails, these rails are held in by two small roll pins, these pins can shear (mine did) particulary if using heavy 3" shells that are externally lumpy and stiff to cycle, drilled and replaced with more manly ones, easy enough but annoying
groach1234
Got a great review in the field this month. He really rated them and even bought one after buying it (come to think of it may have been shooting gazette). George
bicykillgaz
i personally haven't used the mossberg, but when i bought my baikal hushpower the guy at the shop told me not to bother with the mossberg which he also had in stock as they was quite a bit louder than the baikals. i must admit i think the extra 2 shots would be handy for pigeon decoying or follow up shots on bunnies, but i'd rather go for quietness over quantity
utectok
they are great wee guns as far as I'm aware they have 24" barrels but are allot longer with the mod fitted. They tend to shoot low and adding 20 mm to the comb makes them shoot flat. Noise levels is quite cartridge related 2 1/2 " carts are the quietest I shot 3" no 5s for most stuff cheers Will
utectok
ohh and I filled the hole in the stock where the bolt goes with lead shot to bring the balance back and now it swings properly.
Scarpa
I shot a rabbit with the pump using std 2.5" carts. Another rabbit sitting 10 feet away didn't even move until the first rabbit kicked in the vegetation.

covlocks
I have one and I love it. Gave it a go on the Clays over Christmas. Was knocking close quarter clays out the sky quite happily, shoots a tad high, but that how I like my guns to be, so the bird is on top of the bead and not blotted out. Crossers will need a bit of practice as using sub-sonics on an 18gm 6, needs a wack of lead. Its really quiet - we were well impressed, although its far too long for the missus to use. Haven't taken it across the farm Crow bashing yet as its been too boggy.
