I regularly do Manchester and Liverpool and back to Essex in a day. I will go with the flow. P.S. It's not that far but given the 9am start it means me leaving at 5am to pick up people then get going. And besides, driving about for work and doing a job half asleep and harassed doesn't bother me, but doing it for fun on my weekend? Nah, i'd rather not. I was just working it back and it will take about 3 hours. The 29th is a bank holiday weekend too so more traffic etc. Ignoring the dress bit because you and bagsy are utter ********.... 3 Hours is reasonable any day of the week, but it's a 4 hour trip for me from my house, give or take. Just that bit more to make it too much hassle for me on my day off. Overnighter, couple of beers and a steak, doesn't compare really.
