groach1234
What is a bloke who was educated at eton, is related to the queen and is worth (supposedly) £35m going to do for the little man. How come this country had so much wealth, in yet, we have so many homeless??? As said Blair went to Fettes equally as bad as eton if you are against such things, as as for the homeless i would dare say that is down to the filth who stand selling **** on the street and don't see the punishments in place enough of a deterrent. All my workers are legal and pay their taxes. I don't believe that Bulgarians have the right to work here even gutting turkeys. They like Latvians come here under the pretence of being students. Bulgarians are okay to work like romanians. When were were processing we used mainly Iraqis and some poles alongside biritish. Likewise all are staff are perfectly legal and pay tax people seem to like having a go at me as we used to employ a lot of foreigners but we dont even do that now like i said we employ 14 people and its only 3 or 4 (i forget ) who are bulgarian the rest are british and the last 3 people we have taken on are british workers. Paul223
I'll be voting conservative the conservatives run the country like it's a business, they want to make profit, which can be a good thing and it is certainly what we need right now. Lay about, i mean labour run the country to suit the people, this can also be a good thing, but whilst being a noble idea a lot of these people take the pee in a big way, and right now 8.9 million people of working age not working is really what we don't need. Makes you wonder why they call themselves Labour? MPT1 said ''With regard to foriegn workers at present I have Irish, Portugese, Welsh and '' Since when have Welsh people been foriegn??? RC45
I am probably going to get lambasted for this: My views on foreigners (Welsh excluded ) For the life of me, I cannot understand why we treat all EU citizens differently. Why should the Bulgarians not come here to work like the Germans and Spanish? I have lots of Bulgarian friends and believe me, they don't all want to rush over here like some EU citizens have done in the past. The only group I would treat different are the Poles, we owe them a great debt for their effort during WWII and we left them in the cold after the war (shame on us). As for commonwealth citizens, I don't think we owe them anything anymore. Shoot me down if you like! Phil

al4x
the simple reason we're treating newer EU countries differently is because the electorate is moaning about being overrun with foreign workers taking their jobs so some are getting conditions when they join. Construction is depressed simply because of the mess the country has been led into RC45 so I'd suggest if you want to keep collecting the dole you keep voting liebour, I find this idea that because someone is well educated and believes in family values etc that he's incapable of being leader a little odd. To me we need someone who is English to run the place and why not have someone with money and values after all should be less incentive to be crooked after all. You only have to look at how Tony Blair has feathered his own nest to realise that some people get very greedy once in the post and I really can't understand why the working man seems to like him so much. Why, when you say having money would make someone less likely to be crooked??? So the tory MPs that claimed excess for the cleaning of the moat, I suppose they were poor tories Construction is depressed because the greedy banks lent money to those that could not pay. Which led to the collapse of the worldwide housing market crash.
Dr W
Construction is depressed because the greedy banks lent money to those that could not pay. Which led to the collapse of the worldwide housing market crash. But hasn't all the money that was lent to people meant that the construction industry has boomed like never before in the last 10 years with people having (sorry, thinking they have) more money to spend on home improvements? I guess you have to take the rough with the smooth?
Nial
Construction is depressed because the greedy banks lent money to those that could not pay. Whose fault is this, the banks, or those who took loans knowing they couldn't pay? They were all grown ups when they signed on the dotted line. Nial. al4x
and the simple answer is why couldn't they pay, was it because they lost their jobs due to the floundering economy your mate Gordon has brought upon us realistically unless you work for the government or are on the dole there isn't much reason to vote for another term with flash as leader
pavman
sent this to my local conservative candidate just this morning Peter I thank you for your letter and survey, please allow me to pass on my thoughts…. For what its worth. Most voters are completely dissatisfied with politicians from all main stream parties, you don’t need me to tell you that! Sending me a survey about local transport with pictures of you outside old folks mini buses and hospitals is not going to cut the mustard in my house or get my vote. Going forward I will make my decisions based on things that effect me and my family on a national level as this filters down to local level……. With regards to local transport (as that’s the issue highlighted) I am so frustrated and disgusted by the new road system and endless none managed red traffic lights at pedestrian crossings which take no account of traffic flow around town I no longer shop in town! In fact I avoid the town like the plague and now shop in the city which I can get to quicker despite living in 2 miles from the town centre….. The main issues on my agenda and that of friends and family…. 1)Law and Order, get tough with criminals and help victims not the other way round! Victims have rights and criminals have the right to go to jail (nothing else) 2)Reduce and reverse mass immigration into the UK, our wealth and prosperity are not enhanced, our resource is diluted 3)Reduce the endless global giving culture, I fully appreciate the need of others but why are we always at the head of the queue in giving money away (we have a national debt) 4)Reduce the culture of Nanny state Politics and control at all levels for normal law abiding citizens and focus on problem areas rather than hit the masses 5)Focus resource on the indigenous taxpaying public of the UK rather than minority and ethnic groups who receive disproportionate support as it PC to do so! Did you know our council have even wasted money translating the web site into Arabic, Chinese, and Russian to name but three! In the past I have never considered myself as having any right wing or perish the thought racists objections, but have become so embittered in the last few years with the way white Christian working citizens are treated by politicians of all mainstream parties my vote will be directed towards those who on balance support my way of life and a return to basics and balance for all. If that means BNP or UKIP then so be it…….. you guys in Politics have much to consider and its bigger than local Transport! I thank you for reading this far and allowing me to air my concerns. al4x
the biggest point there is the traffic light issue Pavman, I'm going to end up beating someone round the head when they cross the lights near me with no traffic coming yet press the button, result being it waits a while then stops cars when no one is waiting to cross. Its the act of cretins and there are a lot about

MPT1
I agree that the Poles were great allies in the war, My Father fought beside them at Monte Cassino. After all we did declare war on Germany because of them so those who were able fought back for their country not ours. During this war The Aussies, Kiwis, South Africans, Canadians, Caribbeans and Indians fought side by side with us. Whoever thinks that these people are less are less worthy than Bulgarians and Latvians and Serbs who fought with the Axis against us is a donut. MPT1
Our current system is so fragile, better effort should be made to rid society of the terrible greedy people that have dominated the last five years. You might ask, what happens to joe bloggs mortgage, well it's simple. Instead of the banks borrowing the money to lend to joe bloggs. Joe bloggs gets his mortgage from the government at a lower rate. If joe bloggs wants to buy another house then he should go to the bank, this way everyone could afford to buy their house. Why should a bank make huge profits by lending money, this world has become obsessed with greed. Look up the SHARIA BANK they as muslims are not allowed to charge or pay interest. This isn't a joke. RC45
Look up the SHARIA BANK they as muslims are not allowed to charge or pay interest. This isn't a joke. Sharia banking and mortgages have been around for ages. I am not sure if non Muslims are allowed these mortgages Someone else might clarify this for us. Any mortgage advisors? AVB
Look up the SHARIA BANK they as muslims are not allowed to charge or pay interest. This isn't a joke. With Sharia banking you still pay something for the 'benefit' of borrowing money. Except it isn't called interest. At the end of the day it costs the same as a traditional mortgage. Anybody can have a Sharia compliant mortgage, you don't have to be a muslim. Can you imagine any Bank, Sharia or not, letting you have something for free. It doesn't happen!
