Klunk
As above, I'm looking for your opinions and views as to which one of the confusing array of cleaning fluids is best. I'm specifically thinking of rifles, here, using copper jacketed rounds. Ta muchly!
Dunkield
I don't clean my rifles all that often, but when I do I use Butches Bore Shine. It was recommended to me by someone who should know, and seems pretty good I have to say. Some will say it is amonia based so isn't good for your barrel though

flytie
Also invest in a decent Bore Guide... Do they make them for Sako's? I am having a job to source one, they all seem to say, "Not Suitable For Sako's" on the packets. ft

Slide it on the rod and Bob's your mothers brother and Fanny is a rude word

monkeymagic1969
If you can't get a bore guide then drill the primer hole out of a fired case and use that in the chamber What an excellent idea - at last something on here that is useful
al4x
cheers MC that idea makes perfect sense and no doubt will fit far better than the average bore guide
MC
I do have a good idea once in a while. The person I saw who had done this actually had taken it a staged further and had filled the case with resin (Epoxy ) I assume and bored it right through. Although unnecessary. I suppose if you have access to a lathe and a piece of nylon you could always turn your own shaped like a cartridge A once fired case from your own rifle has to be the best though.
