Beardo
store 300, buy 200 of each is a nice amount for CF ideally you want to buy in bulk from the same batch for consistency Edited February 11, 2010 by nickbeardo
allthegearandnoidea
I applied for buy 300 and keep 500 for both .223 and .308 and got that on mine
al4x
some depends how many you're going to use, personally i've got buy 100 and hold 150 as simply I don't use that many rounds probably 60-70 every 6 months on my .223 plus my ammo safe isn't that big so no point being able to hold enough for a few years. garyb
Are you going to reload, or just buy factory?
MC
I have 200 to buy and 250 to hold on my 7.62 and 1000 to buy and 1200 to hold on .22 match ammo. Expanding rimfire I have 750 to hold and 500 to buy on both .22 and .17HMR. I am never normally anywhere near any of those limits except perhaps .22 expanding as I get through a fair ammount and buy fairly regularly. Breastman
Depends what you're using them for, pest control you're probably looking as others have said 200/300 but if you're target shooting theres no reason why you can't get 500/600 straight off the bat, it is after all the Home Office recommended quantities I started in target shooting and moved to pests/stalking and have 500/600 for .17HMR, .223, and .308 expanding or solid. And 1000/1200 for .22lr. Also got 250/300 12g slugs and 500/600 for 9mm, but they're not permitted to be expanding. Mark
Shuck.
Also got 250/300 12g slugs and 500/600 for 9mm, but they're not permitted to be expanding. Mark What do you hunt with your 9mm slugs? or is it a carbine?
Breastman
I've got 12g slugs for PSG and 9mm rounds for gallery rifle. Can't think of anything you could hunt in this country with either so i've never asked for expanding ammo in those calibres Mark
Shuck.
Nice Id like to get into gallery shooting, think people only have exp. slugs to go to scotland or wherever theres a boar population - wouldnt mind that either
flocked
Are you going to reload, or just buy factory? eventually reload but to begin with factory
garyb
Then id ask for... Buy 500 (min) Hold 700 (min) Heads for reloading are usualy sold in 100's. Reloading is a good reason to request more than normal, and my FEO agreed!
Sauer
Hi Henry d im same firearms region as you i believe and i was told that if you buy 100 heads it still goes on yer ticket and counts towards your total allowance nowt to do with not being "made up" into complete bullet i reload and have reasonable allowance to purchase and hold so its not really an issue just ask for your limits up coz your homeloading... if you havent done this already of course sauer
