matth12321
Went to a gun shop (that I won't name at this stage) and looked at what was being sold as a Falco .410 folding gun. Rather liked it at the price (£99). They threw in a box of ammo and a gun slip. When we got it home, I dropped a .410 cartridge in to the chamber and it slid straight out the end of the barrel! Took a close look and it turns out the .410 is a 28 bore. Phoned the shop - they apologised, and will change it for a .410, but the BIG question is, is the gun worth more as a 28 bore than as a .410? Matt.
al4x
very probably and will have more punch than a .
matth12321
Thanks, Does any one have any info on a Falco 28 bore folding gun? (google is not my friend at the mo)
Bleeh
There is a nice little market for 28bores at the moment, you'd have no problems selling it for more than you bought it for. (Is it double barreled?)
matth12321
No it's a single.
tim123
What gun shop was it out of interest? I live just outside Haywards Heath, i use F A Andersons and KWG. Just like to know more about our local shops. Cheers
Fatcatsplat
I looked at a 28 for my nipper - they are ridiculously expensive as they seem to be the bore of the moment. Only trouble with them will be that the cost of carts are also more than for a 410. Think you may have had a bit of a bargain
matth12321
We are a long way from home,it's not in Sussex. I'm not going to give the name of the shop because they are usually reliable and look like giving us a good deal.
bicykillgaz
i'd keep it mate and just get them to ammend you paperwork and ask for some free carts plus exchange the others for 28b then when you've used the carts and had your fun sell it for more than you payed for it
matth12321
Just got back from the shop, i'm going to keep the gun as he gave us such a great deal: 100 carts, gunslip and a cleaning kit at no added cost.

TonySmith
Is it just me that finds that a bit worrying, a RFD that does not know the calibre of the guns he is selling...
