Went out today and shot a few clays (Few being the operative word lol) and on pulling my winchester 1400 apart for a clean i noticed on the raised part inside the barrel ( sorry dont know what theses are called) it seems that 3 of them have either grinded down/been grinded down or they spilt off ? Is this normal and am i just being paranoid or is there a bit of a problem? this is my first semi auto and i have not had it long ......... (excuse the quality of the pics there off my phone)

why feel silly? if you had left it and something had been dangerously wrong with it........then you would have felt really silly.

It looks like 4 to me. The bottom 2 most significantly and the ones at 3 and 9 oclock less significantly. However i would say it looks like a feed ramp, so the shell doesnt hang up as the bolt pushes it forward into the chamber.
