Sergeant
One has to wonder if its true. I cant se that a squaddy would be allowed to carry a pistol other than when on duty, never mind out in a town!
kdubya
it appears it is true was a female "officer" blanks were fitted as she was on a training exercise? bet she is now "off" the list? cheers KW
Country Boy
What about the FAC holder in Leeds who very recently fired over 30 shots at the police during a twelve hour seige and although the police returned his fire they must have been bad shots he only got injured in his hand by a ricohet!!!!!!!!!!!!! Highlander
Who says the police are bad shots...never miss when two hold down the suspect and the third puts the gun to his head... all x shots made their mark! I once got invited to a local police (game) shoot in Sussex but when the chap (sergeant?) in charge leant on his gun (barrel up stock on the ground) to deliver his 'safety' lecture about how we were going to surround a copse and walk slowly into the middle to get foxy two mates and I made our excuses and left. Lurch
all x shots made their mark! Except they didn't. I think three, but at least two, missed.
Gemini
I used to shoot .22 smallbore on a range in Bromsgrove at a place called Garringtons. One of the teams was from the West Mercia Police and was always good for a laugh where skill was concerned. One day we were all shooting on the range, us on the 50 metre range and them on the 100 yds range. We were halfway through the cards when suddenly there was a movement to our left….and there was 6 police officers walking up the ******* range to change targets. “WHERE THE F&*%ING HELL ARE YOU GOING”, came the gentle inquiring voice from behind us. It was unbelievable, they actually couldn’t see what they were doing wrong!!!!!!!! G.M.
Wookie
What's worse, the lass in question who left her (expensive and highly saleable) Sig Sauer in the disabled bogs... Was Military Intelligence!! By the way, that type of gun itself is a dream to shoot. If anyone near Hertfordshire gets offered one at a knockdown price... You can get 9mm ball from just about anywhere these days. Wookie
Gemini
Goodness me……hasn’t it been handed in then. G.M.

tenbears10
It said on the news that she went back to look for it an HOUR later and it was gone. Surely the shop has CCTV of who went into the disabled toilet for that hour?
Gemini
do you really think its going to be handed in. I was being sarcastic. G.M.
NorfolkBoy
I think we are all overlooking one major issue here...... Never mind the loss of a firearm in a public place Never mind the live ammunition...blank or otherwise Forget the ridicule it brings on our Armed Forces What was she doing in the DISABLED toilet...... NorfolkBoy
What was she doing in the DISABLED toilet...... which brings the question, What was HE doing in the disabled bog? Proably asking her what she was doing in the disabled toilet, hence distracting her and causing her to forget that heavy black thing she walked in with!
