dhumble5
I tried with top half coverd a couple of times couldnt get away with it. you dont have your full vision. but found it better for crows they dont spot you as quick.

Bluebarrels
Like already said, when shooting corvids it restricts you in the hide, but it will improve your bag size i always use a five pole hide when using a top net,so it leaves a nice triangular area at the front to shoot out of,and the angle of the net when viewed from the front, has the effect of thickening the net,so you can see out, but its much more difficult for incoming birds to see through the net
PaulABF
If there's a lack of back cover, trees etc, then I might consider using it. Wouldn't normally though - too restrictive.

Bluebarrels
like this.... http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y29/eastl...01122009340.jpg just like that one, thanks Stubby best way to construct a hide for shooting corvids, the angle of the net at the front,is much denser than having a straight net, works a treat BB. This type of hide is also ideal and big enough for breaking a s/s or o/u gun,if shooting a semi-auto you can construct and get away with a much smaller hide Edited March 6, 2010 by Bluebarrels
Lez325
I use a 6ft x 10 ft camo net on my hide - works a treat when birds are flying into your pattern from behind the hide and over your head- sometimes wind direction & flight lines dictate a need for overhead cover Les :(
utectok
I like a camo netting roof especially 4 crows.

THEINVISIBLESCARECROW
Normaly for me I'm tucked into a hedge or under a tree. No need for a roof.
