scuta
Hi, I'm thinking of changing my air rifle. At the moment I quite like the look of the Rapid MFR and the Weirhrauch HW100T both in .177. Just wondered if anyone has experience of both or either of these rifles and can give me the benefit of their experience both good or bad. (Rifle, servicing etc.) I realise that in general owners 'love' their particular choice of weapon, so would be particularly interested to hear from anyone that has experience of both, or done their homework on them before opting for one of the above. Thanks for your help, Scuta
Al Downie
Me, if I had to choose between those two models, I'd go for the Weihrauch. It's solid and heavy, but feels like it's been well designed and precision-made. Rapids feel just a bit too 'agricultural' for me. Especially the trigger/safety catch - Eeech! fireshot
I`v hade both now sticking with Rapids yes build like a sh.t house but less to go wrong , the HW100 I had was sent back 4 times Hull had it more than I did , lovely gun well made and the loading system is great , so the big question which one ? you have to shoot them both to find the answer . aaron airgunner
i've tried the hw100k and its a very nice gun. is so smooth and i find the sporter version very good handling, better than my air arms. its probably going to be my next gun, either that or an fx cyclone. rusty50
Hi i got my hw100tk 2 weeks ago its my first air rifle since a kid now50 . It took me alot of time making mind up, The gun i find is A1 been taget shooting today and cant fault it but its the only pcp ive used. i also put resale value as 50% and reviews 50% to make this my 1st choice. laserking scope fitted find it fine but its my first scope also. Clay shooting was my into to shooting pass time and a .410 followed now a hw100 Having to get an air tank nearly made me go to there spingger only due to keeping things simple pleased i didnt now

burnleydave
Whats the average price for a good condition HW 100 second hand?
Jakeyba
I own an airarms s400, but shot the hw100 at the eastanglian country and game fair on sunday. I am more than happy with my airarms but must say, the hw is a nice peice of engineering, smoother better silencer and generally quieter than the aa s400. rusty50
cheers turbo Thats a gooood steady investment holding at £200 from new that makes a strong case against wifes remarking how much my gun hobby costs of late, as thers always a return on my investing in quality, wish cars did the same
Davy Holt
Hiya, Rapids for me, now got 2 again after stupidly selling my first years ago. Good solid easy to shoot / fix workhorses that do a job exceptionally well

Had a look at the new model with shrouded barrel. A step backwards imho.
